I actually liked Birmingham a lot. Everyone told me it was a shithole, but I had a great time there. Everyone was really friendly as well compared to any city in the south.

I've been to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Xian. The big new areas of all those cities are just like the west but with a chinese flavour, if you go try and get to the more weird 'authentic' china or you'll be let down

Nah, to be fair I exclude the west country from that, but anywhere in the home counties, people there just seem more private, not really a bad thing. Once you go past Oxford things start to change pretty quickly.

London is different entirely. And it's gotten worse since I started going there. A lot of agro there.

First time I went to Brussels I found it really grim and really dirty, MUCH dirtier than the UK, second time I went I had a really nice time though and it seemed to have perked up in those few years, what happened there
