Many of the personalities of both Axis and Allied commanders are pure propaganda, a bunch of the stories of people doing unusual heroic stuff is obvioisly faked. Pearl Harbor isn't exactly faked, but it is dramatized to a ridiculosu extent and pretty much everything about Americas entry into the war is just incorrect. Note I'm not saying the U.S. were evil or the bad guys or anything, just that theres some pretty obviois falsification to smooth over history. Some things like the lend lease for example and U.S. involvment pre-pearl-harbor are still left in the history books.

I couldnt tell you enough about the heroes to be honest because theres no counter-source, but there are many events described that are just not possible. As for other stuff, you can find it in many actual historical books, U.S. written books too, not any jap propaganda. Basically many of the aces and people who recieved medals are just pure fantasy.
