California is surprisingly pretty lenient towards tiny homes and that type of shit because it helps with the housing crisis. A lot of cops here are also cartoonish libertarian types (yeah i know being libertarian and a cop is hypocrisy) and they won't bother you unless you're selling drugs or spilling trash or human waste around your area. There are "homeless" encampments near me that are pretty much just trailer parks with the occasional very nice looking wheeled tiny homes that have been parked along side side roads since Obamas first term and LAPD just let them stick around and only harass black tent hobos or drug addicts. If you're just someone building a little home out of the way that doesn't cause problems you're ignored. At worst they ask you to move 500 feet every 72 hours. We also have an official policy here where you can basically create a second home on your property free from regulation as long as it was built on the frame or foundation of an already established structure like a garage or shed. This stupid 50 year stint of hyper faux liberal bullshit overregulation and corruption is basically creating a situation that's pretty much forcing deregulation and self determination. Chink land lords are the sole force trying to stop them but after this corona thing everyone, even "woke" liberals fucking hate them.

Neighbour catches you living in an RV and you're slapped with a fine and told to fuck off. But housing prices are just set to keep going up.
