Enginneers
I'm currently studying Mechatronics, focusing more on the programming and electronics side of it.
>>Are you an enginneer/student
ja
>>What field do you work/study in
telecommunications (maybe transition to data science idk)
>>How much do you make
i get student gibbs of 300dt (50 USD) per semester.
>>Interesting stuff about your field
nothing's interesting. i thought i could wing this shit but laziness is my bane. i hate my life so much but don't even have the drive to end it thanks to the million anti-depressants i take every day to regulate my mood
Anyways, interesting thread OP
>Telecommunications
Could you elaborate?
Also >getting paid to study
Must be nice
How much are you expecting to make once you graduate?
Are you hoping to emigrate?
engineer
food/agriculture
not much
pic rel
yes,i am a software engineer
i do gay porn
150,000$ a year
all programmers are bottoms
>Are you an enginneer/student
Yes
>What field do you work/study in
Steel Metallurgy
>How much do you make
A moderate amount above the local average wage, but nothing spectacular
>Interesting stuff about your field
Traditionally in our industry, if you die by falling into molten steel an ingot equivalent to your weight will be poured and used in your coffin
metal af
Please tell me more about what you do on a daily basis.
Are you Saudi or expat?
Systems engineering.
65k
do you want some cute schnoze pics as proof?
Normwally I'd do quality control. We do a lot of corrosion resistant parts so I play around with a spectrometer to get a correct balance of 12 or so metal in whatever alloy we're using. I do all the non destructive testing as well, which is normally either dye penetrant testing or Radiography.
Though with the lockdown I've been covering for machinists, which is killing me as their tools weigh a lot and I'm weak as fuck
>Are you an enginneer/student
Yes, engineer
>What field do you work/study in
I studied computer engineering. I work as a Systems Engineer for a large defence contractor.
>How much do you make
~2 800 €/month
>Interesting stuff about your field
Handling sensitive information makes you feel like it's the cold war all over again. There could be spies anywhere!

0, reason is below

I can't fix planes because I have psoriasis, so I can only find a full time office job, but it requires master's degree (I'm only almost baka)
Nein I'm good, would love it if you shared some projects you're working on though.
>Could you elaborate?
it's this hybrid of software engineering + networks and OS + data learning bla bla bla
>How much are you expecting to make once you graduate?
>Are you hoping to emigrate?
this is the primary goal. if i get my finger out of my ass and start grinding i might get out on a government scholarship. Get funding for a dual degree program in a foreign Uni (since even if my current Uni is considered top tier, it has no worldwide name recognition whatsoever) and then finish with a masters.
Idk I'm a spoiled little shit who always took money for granted but I think i can weasel myself in a good working position with maybe an average of 90k (dunno how taxes work so you can chop that down to 80).
Show up for work, then take apart machine. Switch worn parts. Put it back together. Make it run like new.
How does psoriasis prevent you from working on planes?
Then why did you do aircraft maintenance? Samara?
Weather, oils, detergents and other poopoo can make situation worse.
Or at least that's what Ministry of Health says. Of course, usually no one gives a shit, but it isn't something that you can hide from annual quality checks and you can easily loose the job and finding new one is very complicated.
Because I didn't know that I have it when I enrolled
What exactly does a systems engineer/you do?
How long have you been working with this contractor?
How did you get the position?
>Third year student in internship at the moment
>Electrical/Instrumentation
>$28/hour (Canadian Dollars)
>There's nothing interesting in this field, I'm in it 100% for the money and because other high-paying jobs seem even worse
Province? What's your internship like?
>yeah, Mechanical Engineer
>Building Performance Analyst. I simulate buildings for their projected energy use as requirement for LEED submissions
>a wagie $7.00USD per hour
>you're not just a Mechanical Engineer, but also an Architech(analysis of building façade), electrician(analyze electric meter system) and project coordinator(follow client's inquiries, and/or thier plan changes).
God it's hell, i'll shift in the construction industry as soon as I complete my 1 year experience. I've felt more suicidal today unlike in university
Alberta.
I'm a project engineer at a factory. My job is mostly just helping plan new projects being implemented there. Most of the projects I have are quite basic though.
>$7 dollars
How far above average wage is that?
Please share more info on some of those projects
entry level tier Mechanical Engineer wage.
for me though it's not worth it because my parents still give me money.
Why the suicidal thoughts? Too much pressure? Too boring?
too much pressure
>learn LEED Credit on the spot when asked
>read lots of manuals (ASHRAE, all LEED versions)
>learn programming(Python)
, Visual Basic) because EnergyPlus, and Design Builder is retarded as hell. I fcking hate programming, too brainlet for it
>need to keep up with the project. Every time I need to do it again because the plans literally get revised for the fourth time
>submit daily accomplishment forms to supervisor to track the work on a project
>social anxiety around clients, co-workers
It's probably your lack of experience bro, programming is easy if you find projects you enjoy working on, as for the manuals part it does sound awful but every job has it's bad parts, hope things get better for you. Remember that an engineering job is already better than most jobs especially in the third world.
this is my first job so my work retardation is obvious
programming is still a chore for me because the autism doesn't kick in yet
>cuckgineers
lmao
