Sweden has quite a bunch of large companies but the major problem is that the domestic market is quite small so it's hard to gain enough traction to expand internationally. A Swedish version of walmart would be impossible

I mean compare for example VW to Amazon... both have somewhat the same number of employees ("big") and VW has a higher total revenue but for... reasons has less brand value.
