Why is Turkey not considered a European country?
Why is Turkey not considered a European country?
Other urls found in this thread:
if they weren't muslim then everyone would consider them european
You already know the answer to that
Turkey is its own continent
They are. They're like russia, half in europe, half in asia.
Greek rapebabies
>greeks
>in anatolia
??
>Muslims
Bosnia and Albania have a majority muslim population but they're considered European
There are still greeks in pontus, you didn't kill em all.
Greek speaking Armenians /=/ ethnic Greeks
There were no ethnic Greeks in Anatolia. Anatolia was as ethnically Greek as Algeria was ethnically french.
true, but bosnians and albanians became muslims cuz of turks, before they were christians
still doesn't change the fact that they are a majority muslim country
Even Kazakhstan is considered a European country just because they control some lands under the Urals that is considered European
There are no ethnic Turks either just like there are no ethinc Normans in England
Akshully there are, and unlike Greek invaders, they left quite and impact on Anatolia.
What's your next cope?
>Even Kazakhstan is considered a European country
by whom?
>Even Kazakhstan is considered a European country just because they control some lands under the Urals that is considered European
so is small part of Tureky
en.wikipedia.org
Because they don't consider themselves to be a European country.

A bit of Kazakhstan is in Europe, that doesn't mean at all they are European tho.
The truth is Europeans only hate us and us alone. Even Saudi Arabia has a higher chance of getting accepted by them
You're the ones who hate us. We don't think about you at all.
96 percent of the landmass and about 80 percent of the population are in asia.
our cultural identity is very complex, but the general islamic overtones ensure that we're seen as foreign by yurop
>The truth is Europeans only hate us and us alone.
Turkey has virtually not a single friendly or allied country, except for Azerbaijan
Literally all their neighborhood relations are bad to atrocious.
When looking at the idea of what it means to be a European country through the lens of religion, it's strange since Bosnia and Albania is considered European even though they have a majority muslim population
But I guess geographic wise it wouldn't make sense since if you cut Thrace from Turkey they'd be an Asian country
Bosnian Islam is very secularized.
>We don't think about you at all
Sometimes you do apparently. Couple of months ago, every single one of you were talking about how we torture kurds
Turkey has the same conundrum as Russia when it comes to being “considered” as European, most of their important cities and landmarks are located in the European peninsula but they still have a lot of land that goes into Asia
So are the Turks but they get thrown under the bus when it comes to being labelled a European nation
It's in Asia and inhabited by turkic tribes of steppes origin.
most of relevant russia is in europe.
most of relevant turkey is in asia.
>he doesn't know
>So are the Turks
No they aren't. You literally don't know what you are talking about.
>Bosnia and Albania
islam in this countries isn't islam like in Saudi arabia or Iran. we have lot of albanians and bosnians here and i would never thought they were religious muslims
Literally every single Turk living along the West coast is a turkified Greek, especially everyone in Thrace and the Izmir region. Lmao
a lot of us are indeed secular though, not my fault your immigration office only took the low caste peasants from bumfuck anatolia
>Sample size:
>Istanbul: 1
Because its not in Europe and their population, culture and values are not european
Aren't they all secularized
I highly doubt that they'd be the same kind of Muslims found in the Middle East and at best would be Mystic Alevis?
>a lot of us are indeed secular °
Like 1-3 cities. Awesome. France has 1-3 cities in South America. Is France a South American country because of this?
