How acceptable/common is it for you guys to joke about Nazis irl?
For some reason I thought talking about anything Nazi-related would be a huge taboo in Germany but in the German comedy channels I visit on youtube Nazis seem to be very frequently joked about
>clearly not in the streets >also clearly not using the SS uniform
Brody Rogers
There are exceptions for works of culture, as well as for educational material
Brandon Young
Pretty acceptable, jokingly calling people "collabos" (which means someone who collaborated with the nazis during the occupation) and stuff like that is pretty common where I live.
Leo Martinez
Same here with "Kapo" (the name for the jews helping the nazis in KZs).
Xavier Morgan
I had heard that plenty of times too. Is it an effort from germans to victimize and prevent foreigners to call them out on being murderous beasts? I think it is.
Any Germans here realised that people here have a very specific type of laughter for all jokes Nazi-related? Some kind of laughter that you only hear when it's a joke about Nazis?
Parker Reyes
I lived in Germany. Once a girl told me out of the blue she was sorry for the war. Another asked me to stop joking about the Holocaust or she would start to cry, a guy more or less told me the same. My jokes were pretty mild and very common in France.
Germans are fucking brainwashed.
Although I once met a German guy who said he didn't believed in the Holocaust, afd voter go figure.
Samuel Moore
Yes. Nobody wants to be associated with a murderous madman. Although Hitler did have one smart idea, I'll give him that: the abolishing of German states. They just don't make any sense anymore.
Jose Sanchez
Yes, we literally get more shit in the present for taking in 200 nazis than Germany for the genocide. Fuck germs, you don't deserve to exist.
Alexander Reed
>Once a girl told me out of the blue she was sorry for the war.
kek
Parker Lee
also what jokes?
Camden Wilson
The funny thing is I'm from Normandy, meaning that all of our cities were bombed to shit, not by Germans but by the so-called liberators.
David Williams
Germans love that idea. "Oh we are so fucking powerful, sorry for not controlling ourselves, weakling neighbour" And stoping you from joking about the holocaust means they want to hide it. They want to live as if that never happened and ignore the consequences.
You know the usual stuff "what's the difference between a Jew and a pizza? The cooking time"
What's the other difference between a Jew and a pizza? Ever seen a pizza knocking at the oven's door?
What's a Jew next to an ashtray? A family photo
These are jokes I knew when I was like 12 and pretty mild. We also have some good racist jokes (what do you say to a nigger in a suit? Defendant stand up. / An Arab and a nigger are in a car, who's driving? The police.)...
Kevin Hill
>And stoping you from joking about the holocaust means they want to hide it. They want to live as if that never happened and ignore the consequences.
amigo you are totally in the wrong here. an entire post war boomer generaton made is their life goal to remind us at every given opportunity
Camden Myers
>Wah, they bombed my city occupied by enemy forces maybe if you weren't such a pussy and surrounded your cities wouldn't have to be bomb by us
Parker Smith
You're an American, you don't know what war is, you never experienced war on your own soil, your opinion is therefore irrelevant
Anthony Green
we don't speak about Nazis to begin with irl
Luis Myers
It really is only common in lower social classes, no offense to anyone here
