What is your favourite war that your country took part in and why? For me, it's The Falklands War
>relatively recent
>we had the moral high ground
>Logistically it was harder for us because of the distance our convey had to travel
>Argentina delusionally thought that we wouldn't retaliate
>We absolutely blew them out of the water (in the literal and metaphorical sense) with a comprehensive victory
it's the perfect war victory, it has everything you want in there

Hey dude, that's mean
Franco-Prussian War
>relatively short and relatively few casualties
>France declared war so Germany was in the right
>led to the creation of the German nation state
no hate for frogs though
>British ship gets hit with dud EXOCET...SINKS!!!!
>American ship gets hit with real EXOCET...FLOATS!!!
SAD! MANY SUCH CASES!
>Prussia
Not G*rmoney
Since G*money's existence it has not won a single war.
all constituent states of the German Empire partook in the war and the German Empire was proclaimed before the war ended
>Screamed the G*RMAN whelp
I watched a Brit documentary on the Argie war that was pretty enlightening. Basically it showed how similar the troops from both sides were and the horrors they went through. After the war survivors from both sides couldn’t relate to the post war civilian reactions. In the case of the brits it was over the top patriotism and for the Argentinians it was a populace that just ignored the results of the war and just went on like nothing happened
you started it mate, it didn't need to happen
Never forget the yanks betrayal during the Falklands. Reagan literally told us to just give it up. Not to mention that they put in that dictator in the first place
They are not our allies
Watch This Is England (2006), it's set in the year 1982 and touches upon the Falklands War
The National Front (NF), the far right nationalist party at the time were actually against action in the Falklands at the time
It was just some friendly banter
>dying over some argie rocks
imagine a world where you never made your pathetic attempt in 1982
the international community would have probably became more sympathetic to your claim, even the falklands residents might have warmed up to the idea but they hate you now because of your actions
Monroe Doctrine
You knew well in advance what the US would do.
Also some modfag put me on a warning because I was being unsensative of cultures here... Lol
>This Is England
Ok thanks. Ill try and find it
They won a bunch of random "wars" vs stick people and a genocide then some NATO wars that were just the USA, Brits and French.
As an Icelander, I always assumed the reason the Argentine government even attempted to take the Falkland Islands, was because they saw the UK lose 3 consecutive wars against my country and think
"LMAO look at the UK! They just lost three wars in a row against a country with no military. This invasion of the Falklands will be easy! Time to strike at the British Empire while its on its way down!"
Probably the Korean war, simply because of the absurd disparity between troop numbers in some of the battles
Imjim river being a great one, it started off as around 650 British & UN soldiers facing 27000 chinese, and culminated with around 150 British holding off 15000 chinese for over a day
you'll definitely enjoy it, it contains my favourite scene in british cinema of all time
you can watch this now, it doesn't spoil the film

Pacific War
>J*panese occupy Indochina
>Tell them to GTFO and place an embargo
>NOOOO NOT MUH OIL NOOO
>Sperg out, attack us.
>Get their world class navy rekt, not completely destroyed and they still win a few battles
>Completely kick their ass in any land battle, win outnumbered
>Kino land battles
>Kino naval battles
>Chinese still can't kick them out even while this is happening lol
>Luxembourg platoon
How can their population even afford the losses?
The liberal-conservative conflicts and the second french intervention, such a crucial point in mexican history
It was truly dark time for them
>Reagan
>the Yanks
Don't lump is in with that carpet bagging coward.
The first Schleswig War (Three year war) the last time Denmark won a war, in 1853. We BTFO of Prussia and claimedour sovereignty over Schlewig, only to be BTFO by them 11 years later where they recouped their losses and more to it. Fortunately we got the northern part of Schleswig back in 1918 when Germany was defeated and the cucks didn't recognise it until 1953
I don't know about favorite, but I know what my least favorite is: Desert Storm. We declared victory, but 30 years later, we're still fighting.
>Referendum
Prussia abandoned the 1853 war because of pressure from Great Britain and France, not because of losses.
Yeah I'm thinkin cope.
facts.

in 1864 the great powers didn't intervene and Denmark got defeated.
