When's the last time you had to convert a zeptometre to a decilitre? Hell, when's the last time you used a zeptometre? Metric is full of these inane use cases and yet it can't measure a person's height with anything more relevant than "somewhere between one metre and two metres".

Americans do not know at which temperatures water boils or freezes at all.
Metric users will just be off by almost nothing depending on pressure and other factors.
