Moving to Japan

I decided to move on with my life and start a anew in Japan, I have done a lot of research about the subjects of the legality, language and culture which I will study for the next months until I move out. One quick information is that I DON'T have japanese heritage and I know that will make things a bit harder than usual despite the new law of last year.

I want to know if there is some great material for me to check out (Articles, videos etc) which can hep me even more to settle in there, I was looking for online material out of what I have and it's very hard cause most stuff is vlogging, memes or bad information.

Do you love Japan?

How are you planning to earn a living there?

I like Japan and the lifestyle I will enjoy there.

Great technology, food, interesting culture and a great quality of life in general, of course there are some common and well-know problems like sometimes the loneliness of the japanese lifestyle or never ever (or would be very hard) to become fully fluent in the language.

I will work as factory worker for some time then move on to less demanding jobs like convenience store then finally moving to something I really enjoy like teaching English or cooking.

Prepare to be a perpetual foreigner in a country that will never really love you and one of the most toxic work cultures in the world

I often find these extreme opinions online about people that love or hate the country to death but there is one truth in what I said, I don't want to become japanese nor I want them to see me as japanese person, I want them to see me as who I'am.

They won’t though they will see you as a foreigner and that’s all

The most depressing thing about going to Japan for the two months I went traveling was meeting all the people that lived there like 10 years that still didn’t feel welcome and many were getting ready to leave

You had a bad experience, that's all.

Tu é um otário e vai estar de volta em 6 meses.

>Great technology, food, interesting culture and a great quality of life in general,

Primeiro sinal que a pessoa nunca nem visitou o Japão como turista sequer e pensa que sabe tudo sobre Japão. Começa postando animu ainda. hahaha

>I want them to see me as who I'am.
Ding ding ding retard.
Don't bother, Favelados like him usually don't listen to reason.

I didn’t though I loved it and would go back in a heartbeat

I’m just not under the illusion that it would be the same to live and visit

> all the people that lived there like 10 years that still didn’t feel welcome and many were getting ready to leave
Did they all happen to be English teachers by any chance?

Ever even been there?

One or two, a ton in Tech and a couple of engineers

Sad part were the ones that even had Japanese wives but felt that way

Thanks for the input but I have my mind set on this.

About these bad remaks, as I have written before, this impressions are usually about people who don't want to integrate or to understand the culture so they get this impression that people are cold, that rural cities (amazing, right?) are not like Tokyo etc.

I don't know why Japan subjects here in Yas Forums attract so much shitposting but I guess this is life (︶▽︶)

cringe
tu deve ter uns 18 anos no máximo

>Oh nooo I don't feel welcome : (
Firstoid complain, coming from a third shithole you don't care about anything other than living in a good neighbourhood without non-human skin colour people and having a good economy. That's all.

You don't even write in English.

(︶▽︶)

I thought japan was very much against immigration unless you were seeking skilled positions?

do you speak japanese?
I'd assume it would make your life 1000x easier

You can work there in manual work like farms or most of time factories until you get better jobs like stores or restaurants.

You can have more skilled jobs if you have enough skills (and those skills must be recognized by the Japan governament) so you have both ways to get work in Japan.

sexpat loser white, cant get laid in your own country? now you have to travel to asia just to get your dick touched??

Japan is not Tokyo.

All these "U WILL NEVER B ACCEPTED BAKA GAIJIN" stories are from frustrated English teachers who go to Tokyo.

Living in semi-rural Hokkaido was a blast and I met a bunch of lovely people.

Cringy post. Please, reconsider your life.

>I will work as factory worker
>then move on to convenience store
>then teaching English or cooking

i think japan will break you, but good luck

I was bullying a Brazilian ELT teacher with my classmates in elementary school
I think she was Japanese -Brazilian but never thought she was one of us.
Now I regret it

How's life in Hokkaido? I would love to go to a not so fucking crowded place but not 100% rural, something that is near a city.

if you dont want cherry picking google it yourself. its not hard since bullying gaijin especially brazilians and sea monkes is common practice in japan.

Share your experience there.
Most people go to large cities, so your story may be interesting to read.
