Why do people still believe in God?
Aaron Ramirez
Luke Brooks
Nature does not know extinction; all it knows is transformation. Everything science has taught me, and continues to teach me, strengthens my belief in the continuity of our spiritual existence after death.
Jayden Martinez
that's the most insultingly arrogant fedora image I've seen in some time
Isaiah Green
It's reddit, what did you expect?
Nolan White
God scares me but I cant deny him. Just look at miracle of the sun seen by tens of thousands of Portuguese
Hunter Rodriguez
What is even the point of our existence if we are all going to die, and that everything we have done in our lives thus far is meaningless?
Kevin Fisher
why?
Hudson Rodriguez
god can suck my hairy nuts
*tips gently towards you*
Camden Lopez

Incredible post davido-kun
Nolan Jenkins
Good pic. The satellite symbolizing the old ways; The church symbolizing the new.
Looking outward for answers is outdated; we must now look inward.
Bless you all, brothers.
Brayden Sanchez
It's a nice picture
Benjamin Butler
why does there need to be a point?
Gabriel Flores
Lucas Nguyen
They're brainwashed while they're young.
Julian King
Because if there is no point, why are we even here? What is our purpose?
Lucas Lee

Colton Martin

Dominic Wood
>believing in a high power means you reject all technological research

Nathaniel Sanders
there is a rock in my shoe guys can we stop there is a rock in my shoe
Jonathan Hall
yes ok, but why does there need to be a purpose?
Austin Murphy
Your purpose on earth is the same as any other living being
Andrew Lopez
There is no point. You exist because life developed on one of the trillion trillion planets in the universe.
Adam Russell
What fucking existential problem can you solve by looking at space? Right before I die I'll be like "at least black holes.... "
Andrew Barnes
On Yas Forums? It's contrarian to leddit so basically that's it.
Hunter James
>What is even the point of our existence
There is no point. We are born, we eat, sleep, shit and hopefully we find a willing partner to mate with and have offspring. Then we continue living long enough to raise said offspring and then we die. Cycle repeats, on and on.
Just like rats in the sewers, the sheep in the fields, the birds in the sky.
There's no more than that. We just happened to have developed brains that think about useless shit.
Kevin Jones
I like it how the pic is just neutral, as well as the title. Nothing implies either the "old" or the "new" are wrong.
Carson Clark
If every Swede is thinking like you, it's no wonder you're country's going down the shitter.
Camden Wright
NOOOOOOO! MY HECKLING GODERINO! YOU CAN'T NOT BELIEVE!
Asher Brooks
We are an expression of the universe. Not a random event
Samuel Gutierrez
Sure, but we are causing far more harm to the planet then animals. Perhaps humanity should go extinct.
Blake Stewart
Most Swedes are atheist yes. Around 85%.
And immigrants also show a rising percentage of atheistic beliefs in the younger generations.
Alright. Prove it.
Dominic Morris
He's absolutely right though.
Nathan Green
Well, a drop in human population would do the planet good. There's no denying that.
Owen Reyes
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom
Leo Ramirez
well, it is really cryptic, but presents an image of a radio telescope and a church and implies one is old and the other new. fair enough, but the are new churches as well as very old radio telescopes. If the concept itself is being implied then scientific understanding of the natural world is as old as religious thought, and indeed was never separate from the church. It's just ultimately a stupid image.
Joseph Kelly
>why can't we be like glorious nippon land
Alexander Cox
Because the world has a set of rules and we are acting them out. It isn't just random
Hunter Wilson
>fear
>wisdom
Ok cuck
Evan Moore
Priests are and yes were shit scientists compared to the real thing.
Henry Baker
Uhm.. Care to make another go at that sentence for me Henk?
Hudson Sanders
Nothing implies in the pic nor the title that either "old" or "new" are wrong nor better or worse than the other.
Logan Allen
>Ecuador
Landon Harris
my point is that it's kind of erroneous
Levi Sanchez
Religiousfags are the new edgelords of the internet
Bentley Foster
You are a fedore tipper, nope.
Charles Price
>Because the world has a set of rules and we are acting them out
As in?
Jayden Morris
why did they build a church in the middle of a fucking field with nothing nearby?
Joshua Robinson
I thought you Nederlanders knew English.
Hudson Jackson
It could have been a monastic order, or maybe it was originally built for a village that was abandoned or destroyed by war, or it supports an agrarian community
Hunter Hall
to dab on the astronomers working on the radiotelescope
Owen Robinson
Why isn't he as active as when that verse was written? Maybe then I'd fear him.
Jace Morales
>oh my god believing in the invisible being is so deep and complex, not that YOU could understand
Ryan King
Physical rules, energetic rules, literally think of any rule. There is a hierarchy of these systems and we are an expression of them just because we exist
Lincoln Young
i refuse to believe any of that religion shit. if god exists why are there so many religions? why hindu and christian believe but not the same god and dont do the same practices. all one big bullshit. why does the cool shit in the bible not happen anymore? i dont see angel i dont see the ark of noa and i dont see the whole earth floodedz and then u have all the other bs, the church making money of people, they did not care about religion. i am also not atheist because i dont know that science shit either.
Daniel Jackson
That doesn't mean there's a god though. Not at all. Just because fire is hot and gravity sucks when you are drunk it doesn't mean god is up there pushing me over.
Nicholas Allen
>aquafresh flag
not surprising
Noah Powell
"Unless you people see signs and wonders," Jesus told him, "you will never believe."
Brandon Anderson
Also, why did it take "god" 200 000+ years to show us "the way"? Why not come a little sooner?
Caleb Scott
netherlands? chaoslands
Luis Reed
I'm just saying things are not so chaotic and meaningless but it is complex and we may never figure it out
Tyler Jones
there's a reason church are empty
Liam Barnes
i dont have any existensial problems
>muh purpose and meaning
nope, but im damn curious about space and whats out there.
well religion is old and radio telescopes are pretty new. there was a time when (insesrt whatever god here) was the truth and anything else like implying earth might not be the centre of the universe got you stoned, drowned or burned. now we know better and atleast around here people will giggle behind your back if you unironicly go to church.
