Some federal states have more inhabitants than a few europen countries like the nordics or central european countries, and they have higher gdp too.

I'm generally pro-EU but I'm not sure whether it should become fully sovereign (currently the member states are)
if it does become sovereign it should definitely be a federation and not unitary due to its size and regional diversity
