Yes, I'm good at losing
I'm over 1900 blitz rating on lichess
Me too
I have 400 (four hundred) rating on Chess.com
chess is stupid game where everyone is just following simple tactics and memorizing set plays. chess has nothing to do with intelligence unless you're a complete beginner or grand master, your level depends on how many hours you waste studying it.
unironically stopped learning chess when i found out that everyone just memorizes almost everything
>your skill is based on how much time you invested in improving it
How could this be?
>your level depends on how many hours you waste studying it
wtf is this true?
Unless you invent your own plays then all you're doing is wasting your time mindlessly coping moves from a book and pretending you're smart
only one way to find out
Congratulations, you're retarded
If you imply that there's no understanding of moves being played then you're so bad at these kinda games that you aren't even allowed to have an opinion
I don't play chess per se, I play some other traditional game, so your "chess fanatic defending his game" card is invalid, just letting you know in advance
alright who's next?
Once you look up the answer a riddle becomes simple
What's your rating?
>i am very dumb and i bla bla
meh
You can't look up answers during the game
The only think you have during the game is your own understanding of each move that was played as well as all the nuances of each given position
If you have no understanding and you only memorize certain moves then you won't be able to deal with the volatility of moves as well as mistakes, which just happen to be 90% of the moves played all the way until top levels of play
ready
mad brainlet
Most people play the exact same lines since they study the same books.
Once you play enough you memorize all the common lines and if someone plays something out of it then it's a massive blunder that will be punished by simple tactics.
You should relay that to the teachers around the world then
If what you're saying is true then it makes getting better at chess as trivial as memorizing
And that the teachers should drop trying to teach understanding rather than patterns, and players should drop trying to understand something beyond simple tactics in favor of memorizing more
The jew from a chess thread has done it, the chess world will be forever thankful for such an invention
There is not that much to understand.
And once you understand then it's all about memorising.
Angry brainlet who wastes his time learning to play chess.
Make yourself heard in the chess community then
This should revolutionize all approaches to teaching chess
I think you are confusing memorization with pattern recognition
heres my 1 minute bullet game. i keep my rating artificially low so i can shamelessly pwn noobs all day.
taking down 1900s and 2100s is nbd for me too.
The approach should be not teaching it at all
You memorize lines, chess tactics are fairly simple and can be executed faster with pattern recognition
Deep
cope harder you got mated
that was actually painful to watch from both sides
take that back
