Monterey Park in SGV

>how do you feel in terms of identity

I don't care. I don't really identify as Taiwanese or American. I'm an individualist. Collective identities are stupid

>have you ever been discriminated against

No

>is it comfy?

It's ok

what fucking class was this...

>Lithuania and Latvia
are eligible for citizenship?

My parents are both from Mexico but ethnically European (my mother is actually blonde and is usually confused for being German), so I came out [whatever term or description you want to use that won't make Yas Forums fly into a fit of autism], and nobody ever has a clue about the Mexican thing until they see that I have a Spanish surname. I'm always treated like a White male, regardless of the group.

I've lived in Southern California my whole life. When I was younger, I had some issues with identity. I wanted to identify as Mexican/Latino, but I never fit in with them at all, and I was very different in terms of culture and mentality. I always identified way more with White American culture, never with Mexican American culture. I also have a White Californian accent, not that gross accent Latinos here tend to have. I was never discriminated against, but I was usually rejected by other Latinos. They usually consider me White, not one of them. Like I said, everyone treats me as White.

At some point in my 20s I realized it's pointless for me to waste cognitive energy on the whole identity issue, and that what people consider me says more about them and their categorization systems than it does about any part of me. Free starting points in Spanish was pretty comfy, though.

Holy shit i love tunes like this thanks bro. The lyrics are kinda cringe though
