Does learning a language really stop alzheimer?

I couldn't. I suppose you will have to use one from the MEGA archive in the OP then.

It doesn't actually stop it but it does make it so you get it later in life than early. As in years later not months.

How do i avoid getting this? I can't think of a more scary thing to go through, your entire conscious just slowly melts away and you forget your own children when they walk right in front of you etc. I don't even want to think about such things, i have sleep issues and always in the back of my mind i am scared that 30-40 years from now it will all catch up to me.

Think of it like breasts.
When women wear supportive braziers all their life they lose the muscles that support their breasts. So later in life their breasts become saggy and disgusting because of this.
It is the same with the mind. You need to properly use it to keep it working. These illnesses are fairly modern since in the past people would use their minds for much more.
You would have people remember entire books of poems tens of thousands lines long so their minds wouldn't go lazy. Or mothers that remember hundreds of nursery rhymes that they can say without effort. Modern minds are lazy so they become worse.
Even now dementia cases of 50 year olds are starting to happen because minds are becoming even more lazy now.

When the fuck can i start actually outputting, does it really take months and months. I don't know what program to keep using or method to start or series of methods to use a whirlwind of information. I just want to learn enough to where i can actually go onto the Russian vrchat worlds and talk to people not just say my name and a few phrases then be out of ammo in terms of speech for the rest of the time.

I would find it interesting to put a person with an old working class Boston accent and some rural Scottish/Irish accent and see whether they can understand each other. With normative accents it's a lot easier, but they're sort of artificially imposed on a population rather than emerge naturally.
And as said above all the hardcore incomprehensible accents are dying out because of the telly and internet so there is linguistic unification going on.
Memorisation is to do with imagery and associations things evoke in your mind. So if it is hard to remember, one would try to find a phonetic or literal resemblance.

While this might still be the case, I think that it really is due to the fact that people live much longer on average now and also our abilities to diagnose improved immensely.

How do you cope with learning a language with barely any contents?
Hungarian is interesting but I can't find anything interesting in that language

Any tips, or advice on German? Been decent so far, but I've heard the grammar becomes confusing rather quickly.

I once heard that the Hungarian translation of the Flintstones cartoon was famous because it was made entirely out of poems. I don't know if this is true though.

if the language wasn't written before or during the renaissance then you wont find enough material to read. simple as.

We would understand them easily and they would probably understand us with a bit more difficulty. They probably wouldn't understand most of what a rural scots speaker says though.

Dutch Bros, please clear this for me. Does the second verb always go in last position of the sentence, even if it's not in subclause? And is it always in the infinitive?

Start with Anki. Even with Anki I had words I kept forgetting (I'm learning Russian) so what I do now is everyday I take a small article on Russian Reuters and transcribe it on paper. All the words I don't know I search the translation. It helps because you see the usage of the word in context and have less chances of forgetting it.

Can I use 'smack' in formal text? An example being, 'his room smack of a pig's pen'. Also is it usable with both nouns and adjectives? Examples being 'his appearance smack of despair' and 'the texture of the food smack of coarse dirt'.

Do you mean stank?

No, all of those example the word doesn't fit. It just means to hit something, most commonly with an open hand like a slap but it can mean hitting anything with anything really. It also is slang for certain drugs i think like heroin or something. You could kind of use it in these ways

>the texture of the food had a smack of coarse dirt taste (kind of an awkward sentence)
>the food smacked their taste buds with a coarse dirt taste

I just wrote this whole post and this does seem like the most obvious thing. Yeah you probably did just mean stank, as it fits much better with all these sentences.

I have quite literally never heard the word smack ever used in that context.

I have heard this before, but it very informal and is rarely used.

Why do you need to remember words that you don't use?
