Coencidentally, neither of us have ever declared a war on you. On the contrary, it's the small butthurt belt nations who are teaming up with someone large and actually significant to get a piece of a pie. And when it doesn't work out, you are the first to blame whoever you teamed up with.
That is because savages have no God. They have deities. That is said, these deities are not necessarily liked by them, often feared and even hated.
For savages it seems that if there is thunder it's the deity belched, if there's lightning - it's the deity spat. A fish is not caught - it is the work of the deity, a tree fell on the head - again its the deity's guilt.
In short, it's because of the deity there is all the bad in life. But one can fight the deity. First, make a lot of dummies of the deity and burn them. Second, come up with a spell against the deity. Organize dances against the deity and sing special songs.
A savage is sure that everything that happens in his life happens because of the deity anyway. In spite of the sincere hate of this deity, and while believing that the deity influences his life constantly, a savage still has to admit that he is within the deity's grasp.

Crimeans are fine being a part of Russia. Check out surveys performed by western agencies, iirc gallup, they overwhelmingly support the decision. If you believe in the sovereignty of people's decisions you must be fine with the crimea re-integration.

Peaceful competition is not. For EE countries to be in NATO it means that they are at least safe from Russian demands and can be easily bullied into submission. Remove that and these countries are exposed and neither Russia or Germany have any reasons to negotiate with them anymore.
What you're proposing is a "deadly peace" where both Germany and Russia happily exploit EE without opposition. It's not even that "they're evull" or something, that's just what great powers inevitably do.
