In a matter of hours the line can be switched and optimized for a completely different synthesis. The pharmaceutical industry has some of the most advanced industrial engineering models that facilitate preternatural turnaround.
On both the input and output of these factories, the transport side can move hundreds of tons of freight to the other side of the world in a day, or 2 weeks if we're being cheapasses (but this raises freight to tens of thousands of tons being shipped)
On top of that, even a 1% mortality rate is likely too high. We won't have an accurate picture of how this will proceed for another month at the least, by that time we'll have normalized from the early spikes and we have a proper model adjusted for quarantine procedure implementation.
I read that even if you recover, you can get permanent damage to the lungs or immune system. Might just be another rumor though.
why do you guys always forget about the patients who need intensive care for other reasons, there are also some cases of people with cancer who have to wait for their chemio because they need to get tested first (but you need to be symptomatic to get tested, so it's a mess)

The actual vaccine being developed by the Israelis will be completed in 2 weeks but isn't going to be available for another 90 days according the Jerusalem Post
Every vaccine has different challenges in it's manufacturing and it usually has to be modified when dealing with specific ethnic or age groups, most of this vaccine I'm guessing would be geared toward the elderly and because it won't be available for another 3ish months according the Israelis developing it, not to mention issues in deploying it on an international scale, no, about 3+ months before we see any real changes and actually effective preventative measures is about right.
