>I heard Namibia is a ticking timebomb thats going to follow in South Africas lead.
The government isn't as incompetent as Zimbabwe, even if things go south with the land seizure meme, it won't become terrible, zimbabwe was literally ruled by a guy who thought he could print more money.
Also there are no songs about killing the Boer and other stupid stuff, so you will be fine.
As for south Africa, even without the land seizure meme, it's already a lot cause, though I don't think a civil war will happen there, it is an extremely dangerous corrupt hellhole, but there won't be a war. The death rate is on par with war zones
The land seizures haven't passed for either countries yet so eh
>I'm not sure about Botswana, do I have to live in a gated community with eclectic fences and 24/7 security to be safe
Botswana and Nambia are 100x safer than South Africa.
Botswana doesn't have the problems the other two has because they were a procreate, not a colony and they didn't have apartheid.
Just don't do stupid touristy stuff, like flash millions of bucks around, and live somewhere safe in garbone of francistown and you will be fine
It's another episode of a third worlder telling first worlders that they live life on easy mode
They might have nice architecture, low crime and great public services but god I miss having social contacts. You will too once you come here and the reality hits you.
He is basically right:
The Netherlands is only good if you are dutch yourself or can speak dutch. Living here as non-dutch speaking expat basically means you're condamned to being alone.
Its literally super depressing walking by bars and restaurants on a friday night and seeing people inside having fun, talking and chating while you go back home and stare at a screen all alone because you have no one bothers to befriend english speaking expats here. You can literally be a normie in your home country but once you land here without the ability to speak dutch you are a social outcast.
Dutch people will only speak english when they have to and there isnt anyone who will speak english for you unless they absolutely have.
Its also really hard to befriend people, as people here are really to the point and hate small talk. I've mentioned this in previous threads but you can literally talk to someone for 40 minutes and they wont even ask your name.
Doing a project with someone? The only point of contact is getting shit done with the project. No one will invite you out to get a beer or to have coffee.
I literally used to think depression was a meme because I have a big social circle back home but here I do not even have anyone to call.
Be happy and appreciate the things you have in your countries
