>zack snyder has never made a single good movie, including that one that you're thinking of
and it's still better than the current DCEU
How would you fix the dceu if you had total creative control?
>But didn't he ruin every movie he touch?
and the new DCEU kills every movie it touches.
So I take Snyder
I mean, would it be worse than playing second fiddle to an over the hill manlet in Mission Impossible?
Routh and Cavill are both great Supermen; they were just in fucking awful movies. Plus I'm a Superman fan, and just want to see a new big screen Superman movie that doesn't suck ass.
I would also fold the CW actors into the roster. That may free up Cavill since they have TV Superman, but some of those shows are fun and I wouldn't be mad at seeing the characters added to a big budget flick.
>hitch your cinematic universe to dwayne the rock johnson
this might unironically be their best shot at being profitable
Agreed, if wb wasnt a bunch of creativeless pussies they would have known to leave the nolan-verse separate and let the dceu/jla be a bigger/brighter vision. Henry Cavill would be excellent (still) as a new superman in a bigger/brighter version but imho WB fukked up too bad and Cavill wont work with them anytime in the future. Too bad.
make it animated
>Pull directly from the animated stuff based off pre-2011 DC
Cavill could have been a great Superman though. Saw shades of it in Justice League of all movies. That is the tragedy of both he and Batfleck who could have been THE live action Batman under a better writer/Director.
>I mean, would it be worse than playing second fiddle to an over the hill manlet in Mission Impossible?
Is this a rhetorical question?
>Routh and Cavill are both great Supermen
No, they are not. Neither rose above a terrible script to give a great performance, which great actors do all the time. All they did was look attractive in a costume. Your die-hard superfag status is blinding you to the fact that they were boring in the role, like young Ben Affleck in pretty much everything he's ever been in.
Handsome but forgettable.
The Rock has made just as many bombs as hits, often in the same year.
Ben Affleck was never going to be the definitive ANYTHING, he's best known for being the dullest actor in ensemble pictures.
He's the male equivalent of the supermodel actress, hot but completely dishwater.
