Don't post Injustice, user. It makes you look fucking stupid
How can a single person think Batman is in the right here?
This excuse makes sense when Batman and Joker are street level in their capabilities. But when Batman is basically Iron-man with more wank, and joker is driving a plot armor tank through crowds of civvies, it becomes stupid.
Frankly, having Batman involved with the Justice League in any real capacity ruins the premise of his character. Good bats stories either ignore the wider setting, or turn him into essentially a different character who happens to share a name and iconography with the street level guy.
At any rate, it's a serious impediment to his entire chunk of DC that writing him involves so much doublethink. Somebody needs to implement a solution, a piece of narrative iconography that makes it all gel–like Bats being the first superhero, who goes on from street level stuff to higher tier shit with the league. Keep it separate.
Because killing the Joker isn't enough to make Jason happy. Bruce has to be the one who does it, in a twisted display of loyalty to Jason and love because Jason was stolen from Bruce by the Joker murdering him, and he wants Bruce to prove he actually cares enough to want to murder this demented clown and stop Joker from doing this to other people forever.
>Hurr, if you concoct a convoluted plan for your loved ones to kill your murderer that involves becoming a huge crime lord and murdering a whole lot of other people, you're just as bad as him
Uhhhhhh...
Batman actively stops people killing joker though.
Also when it comes down to it the life of and insane murdering rapist terrorist is more important to him than the life of his adopted son who fights crime.
>Batman isn't at fault for what the Justice System won't do, he is meant to assist it, not supplant it.
At some point in the decades of Batman and Joker fighting each other it crossed the line from 'I don't kill the Joker because I believe no matter how bad the system is it's the one line I should never cross' to "I don't kill the Joker because like an abused boyfriend, I have a sick twisted psychological need to keep him alive to justify my existence and prove I'm morally superior to everyone'.
So just do it when he’s not there numbnuts
I think it's because Batman knows once he gets a taste for killing he'll be like a shark, and just go for the kill every time, no matter what the crime is.
He's not the kind of sane guy who has restraint and muster the urge to kill, he has to repress that urge all the time. It's like saying you just need self control to do something moderately to someone who you know has an addictive personality.
The only winning move sometimes is just avoid it all together.
I hate when writers portray supes like something like that would break him. Louis' death would not break him
>user brings power levels into this
Dumbass. Joker has been helpless in hospital beds and incarcerated. Don't try and pull this shit with me. Anyone could waltz right in and blow his brains out, the only reason why it hasn't happened is editorial
He doesn't babysit Joker 24/7
