How can a single person think Batman is in the right here?
I don't understand.
How can a single person think Batman is in the right here?
It's not Batman's job to murder The Joker. The entire point is him and Jim Gordon trying to prove that the system is worth upholding. Furthermore, why is it ALWAYS Batman's fault? Every single person, cop, doctor, or guard, had the chance to kill Joker, but didn't. Hell Jason could've ended it right there, but he had to have his little moment.
So no, I don't blame Batman for letting Joker live
Why is it Batman’s responsibility to kill the villains? That blame falls on the justice system
>hurrrr HURRRRR mental illness loophole!!!!
He does his part and captures them. That’s all he should have to do. Stop letting villains who are OBVIOUSLY using that loophole to their advantage only to get put away in Arkham.
>Furthermore, why is it ALWAYS Batman's fault?
The comic and the animated film are very different in that regard.
Why didnt he just shoot him instead of talking?
I mean in this same movie Joker is literally standing out in the open with a spotlight on him and a small army of cops pointing guns at him. They could and should have just opened up on him until he was a pile of dog food wearing the remnants of a suit.
Batman isn't at fault for what the Justice System won't do, he is meant to assist it, not supplant it.
And because Jason can't comprehend the fact that Bruce struggles with not killing him, and doesn't kill anyone so he can keep doing this lest he becomes another mad man going around making Gotham his own personal playground. Jason just can't fathom the idea that someone wouldn't be able to 'stop killing' once they started, but Bruce knows he's a fucking addict waiting to happen.
If Jason wants the Joker dead, he should have gone after the courts that keep allowing this mad man a pass in Arkham because he's mentally ill. It's not Batman's job to be judge, just the man who brings them in.
So, Batman killed Jason, but not Joker?
In short, Batman has no problem in killing off fellow superheroes, but refuses to kill villains, right?
How many tragedies could be prevented if only Bruce had a pair of testicles...
Don't post Injustice, user. It makes you look fucking stupid
This excuse makes sense when Batman and Joker are street level in their capabilities. But when Batman is basically Iron-man with more wank, and joker is driving a plot armor tank through crowds of civvies, it becomes stupid.
Frankly, having Batman involved with the Justice League in any real capacity ruins the premise of his character. Good bats stories either ignore the wider setting, or turn him into essentially a different character who happens to share a name and iconography with the street level guy.
At any rate, it's a serious impediment to his entire chunk of DC that writing him involves so much doublethink. Somebody needs to implement a solution, a piece of narrative iconography that makes it all gel–like Bats being the first superhero, who goes on from street level stuff to higher tier shit with the league. Keep it separate.
Because killing the Joker isn't enough to make Jason happy. Bruce has to be the one who does it, in a twisted display of loyalty to Jason and love because Jason was stolen from Bruce by the Joker murdering him, and he wants Bruce to prove he actually cares enough to want to murder this demented clown and stop Joker from doing this to other people forever.
>Hurr, if you concoct a convoluted plan for your loved ones to kill your murderer that involves becoming a huge crime lord and murdering a whole lot of other people, you're just as bad as him
Uhhhhhh...
Batman actively stops people killing joker though.
Also when it comes down to it the life of and insane murdering rapist terrorist is more important to him than the life of his adopted son who fights crime.
>Batman isn't at fault for what the Justice System won't do, he is meant to assist it, not supplant it.
At some point in the decades of Batman and Joker fighting each other it crossed the line from 'I don't kill the Joker because I believe no matter how bad the system is it's the one line I should never cross' to "I don't kill the Joker because like an abused boyfriend, I have a sick twisted psychological need to keep him alive to justify my existence and prove I'm morally superior to everyone'.
So just do it when he’s not there numbnuts
I think it's because Batman knows once he gets a taste for killing he'll be like a shark, and just go for the kill every time, no matter what the crime is.
He's not the kind of sane guy who has restraint and muster the urge to kill, he has to repress that urge all the time. It's like saying you just need self control to do something moderately to someone who you know has an addictive personality.
The only winning move sometimes is just avoid it all together.
I hate when writers portray supes like something like that would break him. Louis' death would not break him
>user brings power levels into this
Dumbass. Joker has been helpless in hospital beds and incarcerated. Don't try and pull this shit with me. Anyone could waltz right in and blow his brains out, the only reason why it hasn't happened is editorial
He doesn't babysit Joker 24/7
Think of all the times Joker killed in the comics/DCAU/whatever
Joker killed is lives saved, same can be said of most DC villains.
I'm so tired of "I don't kill I'm woke" bullshit, remember in Superman vs The Elites where Atomic Skull just shows up like three times and starts blasting random people?
Jason should have just shot the Joker and become a better batman then because Batman sure isn't going to do it
Terry only hesitated to get in the last laugh
Holy shit what a fucking faggot
This comic felt braindead to me why would he not just kill the Joker and leave it at that?
>NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DON'T KILL MY JOKER BOYFRIENDARINO!!!!
They simply needed an excuse for Batman to kill Superman.
God, when he became Batman's personal pleasure object?
Joker needed to die, Batman needed to be the one who did it. His refusal to kill the Joker years ago led to the world of Injustice even happening. Because if Batman snapped, it would never have possibly gotten as bad as Superman snapping. Over the course of the entire game and comic series everyone righteously calls Bruce out and repeats the same theme over and over again. Superman would still be a good guy and a symbol of hope for everyone if Bats had just nutted up and killed the Joker like everyone wanted him to.
It doesn't matter if "logically" joker could be killed by just anybody. If a story asserts, either explicitly or implicitly, that Batman is the only one that can defeat joker, than either he has to kill him, or he's an asshole. The entire defense of leaving him alive was "it's not Bat's responsibility", but if he's the only one with the power, he gets all the responsibility
Anyone else feel like Daredevil did this story better?
>Joker needed to die
Okay
> Batman needed to be the one who did it.
Says fucking who?
>Muh Injustice
Nobody gives a flying fuck about Ed Boons bad fanfic. Its an insult to Superman's character, as everyone else.
>Batman is the only one that can defeat joker,
Bullshit.
Joker isn't a god, he's not immortal, he's not without limits, you faggots need to stop pinning all the blame on Batman for shit anyone could have done.
He doesn't kill him. Despite the blood Jason is just incapacitated
Should've raped him like Joker did Barbara
>I think it's because Batman knows once he gets a taste for killing he'll be like a shark, and just go for the kill every time, no matter what the crime is.
I point to "For the Man who's lost everything' where Batman after killing the Joker, surrenders to the authorities.
That's also ignoring how he's killed indirectly. Like the time he locked KGBeast in a vault and left him to starve to death. Or the time he threw Ras Al Ghul into an Incinerator and sent the ashes into space. Or the Arkham games where he killed Clayface by dunking him in a Lazarus pit.
"I'm not talking about killing Penguin. Or any of the others. I'm talking about him. Only him."
So wait batfags entire argument is "not my problem!"
Under that same logic why even be Batman at all?
>Should've raped him like Joker did Barbara
Please. We all know him and Harley are into pegging.
Injustice is awesome and you are a cuck.
basically every member of the justice league could kill the joker if they wanted. Its bullshit that it falls on bruce
>its another kill the joker thread
It's ok that you have bad taste user. Someone had to buy the shit
Surely there's been a comic where Joker just gets executed by the feds after being sentenced to death, right? Does Batman stop the execution or let the justice system do its thing?
That's not an argument and the only enjoyment from the Injustice universe is seeing how fucking retarded it can get.
The real problem is the writers. They want to keep using the joker (due to creative bankruptcy) so they keep coming up with ways for Joker to survive any attempts to kill him, or reasoning for it.
This shouldn't even be a revelation.
It wasn't just Lois though. It was also Jimmy Olsen being shot point blank range by the Joker at the opening Volley. Perry White being killed with poison gas, and Being tricked into being the one who killed Lois. and then on top of that the detonator in her heart because he accidentally killed her being what triggered the Bomb that turned Metropolis into a crater and killed eleven million people. If it had been only one and Lois, or Jimmy, or Perry or any of his other non-JL friends had been alive and around to help him mourn. He wouldn't have gone fully down the Darkside.
>Its an insult to Superman's character
Making him an utterly perfect paragon of Virtue who has light glow out of his sexless peehole is exactly why Marvel has been kicking DCs ass for the last 40 years. People want fellow human beings to be what inspire them. Not Gods. Not saying that's true, I'm just saying it's popular misconception that's hamstringed the character.
God I wish Harley would peg me
You shut your casual ass up, faggot. Saying "hurr durr Superman sucks because he's a god!" tells me you know jack shit about Clark Kent, and are yet another power level dumbass. Moreover, no, Superman is not some psychopath one dead loved one away from going ruthless world tyrant.
There was a comic where Joker was all set to be executed for a crime. But then it was revealed that he didn't actually do it, and Batman. Rather than just looking other way just once to make sure Joker gets what he deserves, he went out of his way to save the joker.
It's not even that I think Batman should kill the Joker. I just hate how these writers always make him go out of his way to save that murdering homicidal rapist clown.
she'd ram the strap-in so far up your ass it'd come back up outta your mouth
plus you'd have joker's skin stapled onto your face
