Prometheus was a complete fucking chump with a convoluted, edgy backstory who got taken out by a nutshot in his first appearance, then had to be rescued from being killed by Huntress in his second, after which Batman and MM turned him into a retard. The high point of his existence was the DCYou Midnighter solo because "let the hero fuck you in the ass so he'll drop his guard" is a fairly respectable play, all things considered.
He's got a bunch of intentional parallels to Batman, but was closer to a commentary on Batman than anything.
