Thats a pretty fair point in most of his appearences but he was cool in Morrison's JLA. Killer Moth got shafted hard, he became Charaxes and died in the background of IC and never returned. I think Rebirth is treating him well though, its treated him better than New 52 at least

Better concept for Prometheus would be the same guy who went around stealing all the cool stuff from the heros.

Prometheus always sucked. Killer Moth, Bane, and Owlman were always better “Anti-Batman” characters.

He was supposed to be Evil Batman, even with his own Evil Alfred, but it never worked very well.

Speaking of Civil War, that story forever ruined Tony Stark’s character and decades long legacy.

That's what he originally was, he had the brain computer that copied their fighting styles and he snuck on to their "Mt. Olympus" (the JLA moonbase).

I had a long time accepting that Penance isn't a joke character.

Bane’s my favorite in that he isn’t just “Batman but bad,” but instead has almost a kinship with Bruce in mind and will, but from the completely opposite direction.
They both lost their parent(s), but from there started in the most polar opposite darting positions you can think of. If Bane wasn’t such a fuck, Bruce would probably respect him as an equal.

Prometheus was a complete fucking chump with a convoluted, edgy backstory who got taken out by a nutshot in his first appearance, then had to be rescued from being killed by Huntress in his second, after which Batman and MM turned him into a retard. The high point of his existence was the DCYou Midnighter solo because "let the hero fuck you in the ass so he'll drop his guard" is a fairly respectable play, all things considered.

He's got a bunch of intentional parallels to Batman, but was closer to a commentary on Batman than anything.
