Towards the very end of this interview, he says he considers the mythology arc closed, which I believe would also include the relationship between Raps and Cass. When he talks about the ranger outfit (~21') he explains it carries the idea that she's a whole new person after her ordeal's over.
I can't help but wonder how all that would reconcile with her healing process.

For all the shit it's gotten I think the ending is just the right amount of open ended. If there'd been anything more definitive done to Cass it would have ended up pissing off some, if not most of us. But this way everyone's free to speculate on what they think happens to her after a week, a month, a year innawoods and so on. Maybe this is autistic but I'd compare it to the ending of The Last of Us, if anyone played that game.
As for Chris, if the Mouse has no plans for any spinoffs, which of course they don't, then Chris is probably obligated to say that he considers everything perfectly tied up and concluded. Also given that he's a known Cassfag, and not of the suffering variety, he doubtless wants to think she's out there forging her own path happy and free. We know better of course.
