The plot was one of my favorite things about it. It was a nice departure from the Point A to Point B stories from most CGI animations at the time, which was getting quite stale
Was it the first bad CGI animated film or was it misunderstood kino...
Never understood why critics said that it's all pop culture references. There were a few, but not that much. If anything, Shrek 2 and Madagascar had way more of them imo
Was there really that much ghetto in this film ? Other than a bunch of graffiti spraying kids, there wasn't much. It was more focused on mafias and celebrities than urban stuff
They are still funny even if you dont know the reference
Shrek 2 definitely had the better use of references, while Madagascar had the worst ones imo. This was sort of in the middle.
>Was it the first bad CGI animated film
I'd say that was Final Fantasy the Spirits within.
That was actually pretty good, though.
It's kinda funny how this film and GTA San Andreas came out only a few days apart, since they're pretty similar in some ways, mostly in the ghetto urban setting and black MC
that's just pop culture from hollywood and music making its way into animation and games
Ghetto shit was popular in the 2000s, that's how we got masterpieces like NutShack.
It's a terrible thing. Everyone loved Frankie. May whoever did this die a thousand deaths. May his stinking, maggot-covered corpse rot in the fiery depths of hell.
