>Amity's hair
She dyes it green to fit in with her siblings. She’s a natural brunette because her real Dad is Luz’s Dad and he gave them both Azura books
Oh, no! Now my Lumity fanfiction has been rendered hideously immoral!
I would like to hear your thoughts on Amnity.
That said I'd probably forgo the trip code. We don't do those here.
Surely they knew people would ship Lumity and won't pull this shit.
I prefer the theory of Luz's dad being the Emperor.
I'm bad at this - best I can say is that the show takes its world very seriously, and that the world itself changes yet remains consistent with what's been established about it.
Of the locations that are static and gone back to a few times, one of my favorites is the school for teaching magic, which yes, does sound VERY typical/tropey. However, the school is set up in this dystopic, almost "realistic" way where students are fast-tracked onto different tracks of magic, and it's mainly just what their parents want them to go into more than anything else. Standardized tests are a thing, and it's set up to be almost a conventional boarding school, in all of the darkness and hopelessness that entails. As you can probably tell from my description of Luz in the OP, that comes into a perfectly realized conflict with her later on.
Again, not too good with hyping things up. But I definitely enjoyed the show.
The show isn't nearly as good as the cunt claims it to be, and my guess is she hasn't watched enough cartoons to understand that. TOH is a paint-by-numbers corporate emptiness that doesn't offer anything of substance. The world may look interesting in screenshots but it's a big pile of nothing. The setting should work, but it doesn't. It's ill-defined and devoid of substance. The whole show is like that and that's why people watch it either for Amity or Luz.
The show suffers from what I could call overthinking. There's no passion involved or anything authentic about it. It's a product of market research, pie charts and focus group testing, a mish mash of things from other cartoons like GF (and certain designs lifted from Berserk as a homage) which again are obviously there because algorithms said they should. The show abandons its main premise within the first two episodes and contradicts itself a lot. Luz is presented to us as a friendless weirdo in the first ep, but we see her not only easily making friends in the second ep but being very outgoing and energetic as well as charming. People actively want to be her friends. Even the things that allegedly make her weird are just things any normal kid would like or understand liking. The whole plot of her wanting to learn magic also... kinda stops being a thing almost immediately. The whole first season is essentially eventless, not a damn thing happened in terms of the "main plot" if we can even speak of a main plot because it's obvious the show has no clear direction or purpose, and clearly no actual plan for the whole story. Also, King is just there to be a mascot, he serves no purpose.
Feel free to check it out but unless you fall for Luz or Amity (or Eda if you're into old women) you'll be disappointed.
...ah you're trolling. I see. well played.
8/10 would be trolled again. Managed to pull one over on account of enjoying a show I myself enjoyed and having a well worded post of the show.

Ah, so you're a troll. Well played. I remember the origin of the concept though, from that obese woman that used to claim she's a tripgoddess on facebook. That was over ten years ago.
Amity is amazing, easily the best "bully" character we've had in a long time, probably since Libby on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Also very important that they don't drag out her bully arc. We see very early on that she genuinely wants to be the best witch she can be, and despises cheating. And after she and Luz have their little adventure together, it's not some reset to the status quo thing where Amity still dislikes her - they actually start to like each other.
I wish she was in it more, though. She doesn't even appear until episode 3, and there are far too few plots focusing on her. "The Convention" is probably my favorite episode just for the Amity focus it has. Hopefully season 2 brings a lot more of her.
And haha, believe me I've gotten flak for this on every board I've been on, and I understand if you hate me for it. But I refuse to spend time on these thought-out quality posts if I'm just signing the post away to "Anonymous" who pervades every single post. It might make me kind of an annoying user for sure, but yes I do enjoy having an actual name to tie my posts to. I do enjoy having an identity, and yes, I know that that "defeats the point of Yas Forums" or whatever, but the draw of Yas Forums for me has never been about the anonymity, it's about the activity and how you can find pretty much any board to suit your interests.
So considering that I indeed have a "username" feature, I'm definitely utilizing it. And I'll continue to do so until they remove it. I don't expect to not be disliked for that, and you won't see me complaining about being disliked for it. Fair is fair, and I've made this choice. It's up to individual anons to decide how they respond to it.
