Hard to judge them as movies since i fast forward through all the parts without this mouse.
Is she only wearing a hat and bow?
Is nudity allowed in the animal world?
Ms Bianca is such an underrated waifu.
I think that the idea of mice wearing clothes is really cute. Such tiny creatures using a lovely selection of fancy hats and coats seems like such a sweet and fantastical thing.
Down under had the best villain. I was like ten when I first saw it and hot damn seeing McLeach's half-track monster truck was the coolest shit ever.
McLeach was a pretty damn intimidating villain too. Clever, relentless, and willing to kill a kid to get what he wanted.
I think the rule is that they have to were something in order to not be nude.
Example:
no clothes but has earrings - not nude
no clothes and no earrings - nude
I always prefered the first film. I felt like Bernard and Bianca were second billed in their own movie in 'Down Under'.
That said, since Disney wants to reboot anything and everything from their past, a Rescuers reboot would make my day.
Africa mouse was cute
>McLeach
>Clever
Son, he didn't even get to third grade.
No intelligence needed to capture animals, just ask the People's Republic.
They both have their merits so it's hard to decide. That said the story flows better in the second one.
>The Country of Africa
why would mice give a shit about little kids?
>I always prefered the first film. I felt like Bernard and Bianca were second billed in their own movie in 'Down Under'.
That’s always something I took issue with in the second movie.
However, I like the second one more because I feel the pacing is not as slow, and it’s a real visual treat. The first digitally shot animated film!
Again, I pitch my shared universe idea with The Great Mouse Detective, The Rescuers, and Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers. Essentially one leads into the other, with Basil of Baker Street showing the effect that just one mouse can have, the formation of the Rescue Aid Society, which, by the time of Chip and Dale had fallen to squabbles and infighting, leaving the Rescue Rangers to pick up the pieces and prove that small critters can do big things.
Is that using some sort of temporal smoothing filter or something? It makes it look like the cels are shadowing on the background. Looks like shit.
He misled the rangers by tossing the kid's backpack to crocs and he tricked the kid into leading him to the eagle.
Cleverness doesn't need to equal booksmarts
There's elements that were better here and there in the first one, but as a whole package, Down Under is objectively better. Those fucking gorgeous flying scenes, and this magnificent bastard.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the guy who voiced the fat guy in the first movie the same one that voiced the Penguin in the Scooby Doo tie-in episodes from way back then?
>Africa
>country
I kek'd
>The Rescuers Down Under
>Fantasia 2000
>Ralph Breaks the Internet
>Frozen II
Are these the only Disney sequels to come from WDAS?
I like Down Under because of George C. Scott. I mean, he made that movie for me. It was also visually more attractive and more "slick," I guess.
That said, I really like the scratchy, scruffy and Xerox-y look of the first one. It gave it a bit more gravitas, I feel.
The only ones that weren't Direct-To-Video, yes.
LOL africa has one delegate
>Arabia is clearly a rat
Pretty accurate.
Also the Africans probably have only one delegate since there's not much mice can do against General Buttnaked razing a village and (sexually) enslaving its children as child soldiers.
Shit happens, gotta handle.
There was Return to Neverland.
>Africa
>one country
That actually was the original idea for Rescue Rangers. It was going to be a spin-off of the Rescuers, but it was rejected due to the movie being in production.
Wasn’t that a Disneytoon production? I’m not talking about sequels that had theatrical runs; I’m talking about sequels that actually came from THE Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Nope, that was Joe Flynn, best known as Captain Wallace Binghamton from McHale's Navy. He did appear in a couple of episodes in the live-action Batman series, though.
The Penguin was played by Ted Knight, best known as Ted Baxter on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
>Rucky Clicket
I thought for the longest time I preferred the second film. But watching it as adult about 2 years ago made me realize how great the first film is. They are different films though clearly connected and related.
Personally I think the first film is actually better. But we're talking about a difference of 10% or less and for quite individual reasons.
Ms. Bianca is so fucking cute, it's ridiculous. Kind, classy, compassionate... She's just great.
Eva Gabor's accent(whatever the hell it is) doesn't hurt.
Hungarian Jewish.
>preferring 1 movie out of a perfect duology
this
Both movies are great, and I don't understand why Yas Forums has a blind spot for disney's "dark ages". compared to the assembly line bullshit they produce now, the films from between walts death to the 90s are very refreshing.
These films suck because the original books themselves suck. You people just want to have sex with Bianca.
Hey now... some of us prefer Bernard
my god
Typical saudi behavior.
Disney really went all out in their full family hate in 2. The kid had his real mom without a dad around and then who knows how many other widowed animal mothers looking after him.
Makes one appreciate Help! I'm a FIsh! all the more.
I wish I was a mouse. Then I could use a thimble as a stool
Why don't we get a threequel about them the rescuing...their kids?
I really like the first one over the 2nd one, it could be because I saw 1 a lot more than the 2nd, but I just really enjoyed the mice's relationship to Penni once they got to her.
yeah me too
Did they have kids in the books?
The second one. The villain is better for one, and the eagle flying scenes are breathtaking. I also think the proposal subplot is pretty cute.
not including american tail in the universe?
Never liked these movies. I hated the brats that were being rescued and too many other things bothered me about these movies. Like how the brats were able to understand animals, but other humans cannot. And why would the animals want to help humans? If animals are intelligent enough to form their own societies like the rodents did, why waste resources to help humans? The same humans who would treat Bernard and Bianca as vermin and set traps for them to die. This isn't like Bojack Horseman were the animals live peacefully with humans.
Misanthropic furry spotted.
Hope you're murdered.
Go shoot up a school wearing a fursuit. I'll film you :)
And a wire spool as a table!
Best flying scene
i remember some years back some guy saying he liked the kangaroo and posted a gif of him bouncing and someone edited in lewd stuff
>Africa is a country
hahahaha, thanks for the laugh user, that was great
Holup. You’re telling me is a dude?
there are 2 roos in the movie, a female that hangs out with the boy and a male that's caged up at the villain's hideout
She was very cute
I wish she got more art
I heard that they don't even get together because Bianca doesn't want to marry a guy from a lower social class than her.
Why? She doesn't do anything and not even furries give a damn about Bianca despite having two theatrical movies. Rodent girls aren't very popular.
