This should’ve been in the final episodes instead of dick Godzilla

>How messed up is that? That I've gotten away with this for so long. You have no idea how bad I am.
>You think I'm so great, and I'm so mature, and I always know what to do, but that's not true. I haven't learned a thing from my problems. They've all just made me worse.
>You think of me as some angel, but I'm not that kid anymore! I'm a fraud. I'm a fraud... I'm a MONSTER-!

it still feels like to me they were intentionally mirroring Steven with Rose, having him go through stuff she never got the chance to work through herself with everyone learning she isn't a perfect angelic figure. "I'm a fraud." or at least that's what I want to think because it makes me feel a little better about the complete absence of Pink/Rose in the final episodes.

>Steven could potentially go beast mode and wipe out half of Oklahoma
We would welcome it.

>give Steven Diamond eyes
>Make his hair look like Pinks
>The way he's unhinged and pretending to be an okay version of himself was eerie similar to Pink pretending she's no longer a diamond
>White Diamond mind links to Stevens monster form and recoils in both pain and horror "THAT'S NOT STEVEN ANYMORE!"
>All of that went absolutely nowhere
I feel like Sugar just wanted to fuck with people who were hoping Steven was turning into Pink, and in that joke of hers she made the story much less enjoyable with these dropped plot points.
Literally why have White Diamond say it's not Steven anymore just for Steven to be saved literally 3 minutes later?

This

cute and wholesome

I also forgot to mention that during his fight with Jasper the star on his shirt changes into a diamond when he throws Jasper to the ground

Wait, is that true? Never noticed it

To be fair, half of nothing isn’t much.

Why did Steven turn into a monster anyway?
We never got much of a satisfactory explanation. I get the metaphor but Steven could only shapeshift into different ages before. Turning into a dinosaur with no control of his actions felt really out of left field.
