You realize that Future literally contradicts Steven's problems and solutions every step of way?
>Steven needs a Steven
>Steven doesn't want to hear it from Steven
>last episodes end up with Connie literally telling everyone to be Steven's Steven (something they all tried to do already but he didn't want none of it) and it somehow works this time
If his dead/not really dead mother, the source of all the shit he went through, reappeared in his mind and helped him by being the not-Steven he needed, then it would've been a little less retarded.
Why did they retcon him to have PTSD and give him issues he already dealt with in the previous series again?
women on this board are so easy to work
>It's showing the scenario where Steven needs rescuing like how he rescued everyone else.
that's good
the inconsistency appear when they present steven's life during the show as nothing but trauma, terror and pain when most of the time he was just happy. unless steven's rant at the end of everything's fine wasn't just referring to his behavior in future, but the entirety of the series, which would be saying that steven was always lying about how he felt and he was never honest
that would have been even worse, it would have undermined the whole thing about moving on from her
makes the point of "several situations without immediate dangers or currently ongoing conflicts" but PTSD doesn't always pop up as soon as the situation stops. Sometimes it takes months to years to rear its head, especially when the character is living it as part of their normal. It wasn't "solved" in Mindful Education either, that was Steven dealing with how he'd had to hurt people - not how he/his family had been hurt/almost killed or the darker thoughts inside his head.
