Castlevania

nothing

Story, characters, motivations, setting, pacing, start, finish. Sort of a Golden Corral of failure.

The lead up to fighting Dracula was simultaneously rushed and yet decompressed to a fault.

Season 3 was fine but at the end of the day there's no longer a compelling through-line and all of the characters are kind of just dicking around. Not that they weren't dicking around in season 2 but that all had something to focus on at least.

Charming characters and fun action is what it does have going for it.

Let's be honest: the whole Lindenfield arc was a setup for the potential Devil May Cry crossover Shankar wants so badly.

Not to mention the clear as hell insertions of sexual fantasies which is no better than SU's fetish display.

Ignoring that, why didn't Alucard think about going back to sleep?

His purpose was served, and the world doesn't need him anymore.

Because he promised Trevor he'd protect the Belmont hold.

The show is actually good when it sticks to the source material. Everything else is millenials being millenials, racebending characters, inserting sexual fantasies, relying on overdone cliches like the catholic church being filled with nothing but assholes, the usual stuff...

Ending on a series of multiple cliffhangers without confirmation of another season being greenlit.

But season 4 was announced.

Oh. Cool beans.
