They aren't even right in principal. They said nothing holds you back but there is pressure to make sure certain content simply doesn't exist.
Lets use the Witcher 3 as an example of a piece of media, colossal success in the west, a game starring a European male, in a fantasy Europe and filled with sexually attractive women. But the game was made in Poland, hasn't been a mainstream game with those qualities made in the West for a few years now despite there clearly being a large market for it.

Confirmed for not living in the US. Sex and nudity has been in the mainstream since the 60's in the US. It may not be as apparent as it is in Europe where you have topless women in children's entertainment, but the US isn't as big of a degenerate cesspool.

All of it is bullshit criticism though, regardless of the social stygma. Drawing tits and ass doesn't make you sexist, and having a female lesbian space-latinx culturally apporpriating protagonist doesn't make you anti-white male. Granted Gabby is literally anti-white male so that's a pretty bad example, but the comic itself (while terrible) isn't really in any way a message against white males.
Also there's been a lot of talk about "blacklisted for being called a nazi" but I've never since a proper instance of it in this industry. People like EVS literally talk shit about the people who may employ him, that's why they're blacklisted, not because someone on twitter called them a nazi.
