on one hand snufkin clearly has the physical advantage on several fronts - his speed and range are both superior to moomin's, given how bulky a moomin body is
on the other hand though that leaves him at a significant weight disadvantage, however much that might matter in a knife fight

Ok so comparing both of them, Snufkin has experience, dexterity, the ability to kill, and the ability to be calm under pressure. Meanwhile Moomintroll has tankiness, weight advantage, and emotional drive. Although Moomintroll does have a few advantages I feel his weaknesses and Snufkin's Skills would probably leave Snufkin the winner. Unless of course you take into account that Moomintroll would realistically have Moominmama and Moominpapa who would want to protect him, unless third parties are not allowed to interfere with the fight.

That does raise another question - who would take what sides in a Moomin vs Snufkin fight?
It's pretty clear that Moominmamma and Moominpappa would almost certainly be on Moomin's side, but I think Stinky might side with Snufkin just out of antagonism.
