When you think about spinel is really a character that showcases the problems in our current day society and our class...

Yeah but who cares?

You’re gonna forget when this series never returns, and if it does, when she never returns in any meaningful way

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

I feel like Steven Universe is underestimated for what messages it's actually bringing to the table. The messages in this movie for instance I feel aren't talked about all that much sure spinel is lonely, that's the main driving force between her conflict with herself and the gems. But you can read a bit more into it kind of easily I feel like they intended this this clearly with how the movie ends itself. Spinel could have stayed down there and helped clean up her own mess but they kind of reneged on that and just had the diamonds come and pick her up.
This also would have been a moment to show just how even maybe through a montage how Steven really changes people emotionally.
