>Ross hates DC 90's characters such as Kyle Rayner

There, you forgot a couple of letters.

Ross is a faggot that wank off to Silver Age DC.

Did you time travel from 1990?

Yes, very slowly

He seems to have no issue with 90s or modern Marvel characters, it's only DC's. The New52 also seemed to get completely rejected by him.

He’s a DC Fan.
Only 90s DC characters trigger him. He doesn’t care about Marvel so it doesn’t trigger him.

>Ross hates Kyle Rayner
Fuck him, too.

He meant to get paid.
This might blow your mind but drawfags like being able to eat too.

literally who and why should I care, fuck off

Liefeld got Alan Moore to do the best Superman story of the past 30 years with Alex Ross covers
absolute madman

based

is he trying to dab on liefeld?

He did Kingdom Come because he absolutely hated Cable's design. Magog is based on Cable.

Big true

wasn't Hitch an Alan Davis clone when he began?

Source?

Alex Ross is a fine artist but some of his stuff is kinda whacky and claustrophobic.

Alex Ross's art look good but its definitely not something that should be used in any action comic. Everyone looks like they are posing for the camera as oppose to being in motion.

gee I wonder why that image looks kinda claustrophobic

I agree

Unironically I think Liefeld is a better comics artist because of this. Ross is obviously more skilled at making images in itself but not at conveying motion.

Yeah, but he actually fell in love with Magog's design.

>That's a character that Mark Waid invented that was really just put to me like come up with the most God awful, Rob Liefeld sort of design that you can. What I was stealing from was — really only two key designs of Rob's — the design of Cable. I hated it. I felt like it looked like they just threw up everything on the character — the scars, the thing going on with his eye, the arm, and what's with all the guns? But the thing is, when I put those elements together with the helmet of Shatterstar — I think that was his name — well, the ram horns and the gold, suddenly it held together as one of the designs that I felt happiest with in the entire series.

Magog wasn't even the most Liefeldian thing in Kingdom Come

>Lobo wuz here
Peak 90's

If this page came out today people'd be complaining about that dialogue.

People bitch about Kingdom Come preachiness all the time but I get what you mean.

I don't know if I'd call Alex Ross a drawfag.

Here

His rates are high enough to not give a shit anymore

Complaining is the wrong word, pitching a shitfit and decrying DC as tranny psyop is more accurate. Though one of the biggest complaints about KC is how hamfisted it is.

People decrying that page today would be stupid enough to not realize that the Americommando is presented as the bad guy in that situation.

this is so bizarre for me to look at. it's very much Ross in style and is great, but it just looks wrong. And I say that as a Liefeld hater.

but he has feet

>a realistic looking Liefeld gun
>realistic looking Liefeld blades
>realistic looking Liefeld pouches

That's it for me, no more superhero comics

This might just be Ross' finest hour

Does Liefeld like anyone? Genuinely curious who he sees as friends in the industry.

Erik Larsen?

Bob Harras must be one.

Not an X-Men reader but always wondered what the fuck that thing was around Cable's neck and what it does if anything.

Rob Liefeld thinks it looks cool. I can assure you that's all there is to it. I always thought it looked soft and comfy though.

>all of them without any feet

Oh Ross you sly bastard

Superman's easy to do not feet too, just make him moving quick and the lower half of his body is a blur

That Alex Ross has personal opinions about characters but understands that work is work and there is no use being unprofessional.

Yea that's beyond based

and yet he still refuses to paint Kyle ever again

Attached: 70c6a8bfa60c7ec9f609c3d5c70904be.jpg (744x488, 67.12K)

What's is his gripe with him anyway? Kyle doesn't feel the least bit EXXXXXTREMEEEE.

You forgot
>realistic looking Liefeld anatomy
>realistic looking Liefeld composition

Ross is like the biggest Hal Jordan fanboy in the world (more so than Johns), so he fucking HATED Emerald Twilight and everything that came out of it, including Kyle.

He 'replaced' Hal. That was enough in a lot of peoples eyes.

Kyle isn't EXXXTREEMMME but Emerald Twilight and felt very rush in my opinion. A story like that deserved more than three issues.

>felt very rush in my opinion

That's because it was. They cobbled the entire thing in 2 months after booting Gerard Jones then chunked it into 3 issues instead of 6 so they could hit that 50 issue milestone for the finale.

Attached: 1308530610926.jpg (400x400, 47.11K)

There is also the fact that Emerald Twilight is a shitty story too. Even if you hated GL and Hal Jordan, it's still pretty east to admit that wiping out his setting - in a completely different book for the service of a crossover event that hadn't even involved GL up to that point no less, having him go insane and kill most of his supporting cast, then turn him into a villain just so you can replace him with some guy faffing around New York while being scolded by a blue midget douchebag was a poor editorial decision. At the very least they could have made sure that Kyle's initial run was good to soften the blow, but it took them years to find a decent groove for Kyle. They don't even treat Wonder Woman that bad, and they treat Wonder Woman pretty badly.

>At the very least they could have made sure that Kyle's initial run was good to soften the blow, but it took them years to find a decent groove for Kyle

Honestly, the Marz years were alright and I still enjoy them. My only problem with them was that they were crossover central, but you can't expect much different when he was a completely new character. When he got on the Justice League, he actually had the opportunity to get his own stories and the quality went up dramatically.

The reason that Kyle still has fans isn't because of his own book. It's because he was the POV self-insert of Morrison's run on JLA, and it was fucking awesome.

this is still the best explanation on how the ring works that I've read so far

Attached: JLA 1.png (1139x201, 378.71K)

I'm actually fond of Kyle's solo stuff, but fuck me if it wasn't them just throwing shit on the wall to see if it stuck, then hosing down the wall anyway. Nero was a massively wasted opportunity.

I'm surprised that his current GL isn't a Kyle centric one.

This is awesome. It even has Liefeld's speed lines.
