I made these songs for a winter game jam, first song is a level theme and about my memories of a local video store; second song was the main theme and should feel like the walks me and my dog would take at night, and the third song was the boss fight theme and is about my family.

maybe a little cringey but you could build a little audience with music like this, whether people in this thread can enjoy it doesn't matter, cause there ARE lot of people who will out there.

RECS:
Not sure how this is cringy when it's good for it's genre of music. Pretty sure half the people who are saying that are asshurt that you have the chance of actually blowing up cause I see nothing wrong with it. But idk that's just me.
>, cause there ARE lot of people who will out there
yea, cucks and simps

POST TO REDDIT, THEY'LL SUCK YOUR SIMP DICK
Thanks for the kind words m8. i purchased your album on BC.
thank you for the kind words. your stuff is really good. I'm not even into this type of music but I know there's a HUGE audience for this. You should check out NELK and their FULL SEND company and try to have them do you have them promote your music. their fan base is right up your alley. you got anything on bandcamp?

This is really good, I like the vocal work a lot, not as big of a fan of the instrumental but it works for the overall tone of the track.
I'm not as big of a fan of this style but I don't hear anything particularly wrong, if this is your thing (lofi hiphop) you'll dig it more than me.
I fuck heavy with this, love the percussive hits, like a cross between Burial and something off of Autechre's Oversteps of Move of Ten, really good.
I like this for similar but different reasons than the previous track, super in line with my preffered aesthetic, not as comparable to a sound I know, but I love the sweeping ambience of the synth.
I like the percussive breaks that come in at 0:45, reminds me a little bit of Four Tet, the synth pad in the background is nice and warbly, just needs to be built up into a larger track or a more fleshed out idea.

With the tracks we produce, like parents, we're not supposed to have favorites; also like parents, we can't help it when we do, as is the case here for me with this selection from my catalogue:

It's entitled "J.D. LUVCRAFT [PHILLED WIT VICE], and is named in tribute to Dilla, from whom many samples were derived, and Lovecraft, who provided the lyrics and vibe. Have fun.

>I saw a street called Myrtle Avenue which runs from Borough Hall to Fresh Pond Road, and down this street no saint ever walked (else it would have crumbled), down this street no miracle ever passed, nor any poet, nor any species of human genius, nor did any flower ever grow there, nor did the sun strike it squarely, nor did the rain ever wash it… Dear reader, you must see Myrtle Avenue before you die, if only to realize how far into the future Dante saw. It is a street not of sorrow, for sorrow would be human and recognizable, but of sheer emptiness: it is emptier than the most extinct volcano, emptier than a vacuum, emptier than the word God in the mouth of an unbeliever.

groove is good. Kind of feels like an intermission though. My advice would be to add attention getting melodies to make it feel more like a song than just a placeholder for silence. But I did find myself lost in the groove, in a very susceptible state - capitalize on that.
>sc link
The rapping was a bit quiet in the mix, and overall the rapping needs to be more in your face. The lyrics are a bit murky, and while the rapid delivery and intense accent sounds fucking sick, the listener finds themselves trying to simultaneously parse meaning from the lyrics and keep up with the staccato 16th note syllables. Just a little too much.
Production was okay. Lyrics didn't make much sense desu. Rap was not in time, the layering did not match. Definitely practice your songwriting and rap to a metronome in your car. The rhythm was rough, and everything was kind of messy. Not a bad voice though.
Wonderful song, very tasteful. Try taking a few more risks with the music, imo. You aren't an attractive or charismatic guy though, and the video had me cringing a little bit (early on especially), but I'm glad I stuck it out, you gave me a little smile at the end.
Introitis: the condition of the entirety of every song sounding like an intro to a song that never comes. That crushed up portion of the song should have lasted 4 bars, then transitioned, my man. It sounded cool, but you need to a have meat, you can't just eat taco sauce on a tortilla.
Sounds good, but the sound has been done to death. It's not bad, it's just that fuzz guitar / loose drums / gritty vox has been explored for the better part of a century, and you aren't really adding anything new from a compositional aspect & singe no good.
