Surf's Up might be their best album

all of their discography is worth listening to desu
even the shitty ones, they have at least one good track every album on those ones

Thoughts on Carl and the Passions?

Friends is a real hidden gem. I mean yeah everyone knows the two classics are Today! and Surf's Up, both of which are great, but I still think Friends is their best.

pet sounds make me smile :)

>Guess I'm slowing down
>It's a turned back world
>With a local girl
>In a smaller town

This one has some great acoustic versions of a lot of their biggest hits, and the concept setting makes it interesting. This version of Barbara Ann is probably my favorite of their songs after Good Vibrations. Also has some cool Beatles cover songs.

>AS I SIT AND CLOSE MY EYES THERE'S PEACE IN MY MIND AND I'M HOPING THAT YOU'LL FIND IT TOO.

This was the only time I can think of actually enjoying Mike Love's singing voice. Friends is the most underrated album of all time.

Sunflower is my second favorite beach boys album.

why did dennis only make one solo album

there's so much potential in their unreleased work, brian could have recorded 4 more smiles if he was given the creative control

this is there best album

I'm not a huge Beach Boys guy but I find this old style of performance really fun to watch. You can tell they were really putting their all into entertaining an audience and putting on a show, not just getting on stage and doing whatever they wanted. They're all really talented.

best pre-pet sounds song?

youtube.com/watch?v=WOQ-tn5OmPQ

he died

this song is one of their best imo
youtube.com/watch?v=OzFQV5rhrb0

he started work on a follow-up, but he was too fucked up by that point to finish it.

Pic related is super underated
Good mix of both their old and new style songs

Help Me, Rhonda is a great track.

>please let me wonder
>i'm so young
>she knows me too well
This is secretly their best album

yeah, it's depressing to watch now
some real underrated work on today that should've been a lot bigger
though you can tell brian was still ironing out his compositions that would later makeup summer days summer nights then pet sounds, stuff like in the back of my mind is fucked in mixing and brian even said he isn't fond of how he mixed dennis's voice, it's kind of mixed weird

>ironing out his compositions that would later makeup summer days summer nights
>repeats "Help Me Rhonda"

All I Wanna Do makes me cry

help me rhonda sounds better on summer days summer nights then on today though user, it worked better the second time

Pet Sounds is pretty good

What's your fav non-album single?
For me, it's Break Away

I prefer The Little Girl I Once Knew, then Don't Worry Baby
I really think this was the first art pop album ever

>tears in the morning
>cool, cool water
>forever
Does anything come close to these?

The final trilogy of songs at the end of Surf's Up is the best thing they ever did.

Sunflower is underrated

post pet sounds beach boys albums were pretty dire lets be honest

I'M THINKING BOUT THIS WHOLE WORLD
