>bedroom blackgaze

clyp.it/cu4oorwl

review my WIP pls /prod/

first sounds less grating mix wise
2nd is too wide, too sharp, also drowns out drums more

major recording artist:
>Owns tens of thousands of dollars worth of synths
>Constantly flexes them on insta
>Ends up just using serum and omnisphere in their actual songs

Why do they all do this?

smoking a doobie in a crowded beach resort at sunset vibes as the restaurant staff light the tiki torches-core

the virgin 5 minute song
>boring
>listener loses interest
>repeats sections, copy and paste
>new elements might not have the same impact

the chad 2 minute song
>not a second wasted
>leaves the listener wanting more
>maximizes streaming revenue

exactly

fitst one is better but i was hoping for a change of pace

too long but i like the atmosphere

why else to look cool

Before serum thats what they used. Now dont use it as much. Yea, let me throw these constantly rising in price pieces of gear out so the /prod/ nerds wont shit on me

playing league watching twitch and dabbling in trap production while occasionally reminiscing about the good times they shared with you :^)

I wish this was easier to make songs on, the demo songs sound great.

Anyone have experience with the m-audio keystation?
I'm curious if the action is decent and the keybed is of a reasonably high quality

If you are wliling to pay a bit more i'd suggest the Roland A800pro or Alesis VI61.

>Move music off grid so it sounds more natural or whatever
>But now the drums sound retarded and offbeat

I give up on music production.

it's not about randomly putting midi out of time, there is specific reasoning for "humanizing" midi.
IIII AAAAMMMM TELLING YOU STUDY DILLA

GREAF is traps Dilla I am being 100% serious

regardless, trap isn't the genre where you want to be super off time lmao. Swung drums are definitely a thing but people tend to just add grooves in ableton or do the swing thing in fl, and it's quite subtle (always less than like 30%).

Make one hats velocity significantly lower to try to better highlight the groove
... and obviously on your rolls
Same for kicks but usually only where they're one after the other
Other than that it's just moving claps and snares forward a bit when you layer them but everybody in every genre does that shit
... obviously some people go way further but i'm talking about what is "standard" in working on the groove of trap rhythms

at least you got a nice get

>GREAF
MEGA SHUT DOWN THE DATPIZZ ACCOUNT WTF MY SESH DISCOGS

AGGGGHHHHHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK
MY LIFE IS RUINED

what is so good about serum? I downloaded a few famous modern synths like Sylenth1 but dont see whats so great about them
