This is the /synth/ - Synthesizer General: Synth Feels Edition.
Talk about your synth feels in here. Do you have a crappy but favorite one? do you have one youll never sell? do you spend more time with your synths than with friends and relatives? and more!
And always remember: its good to have synth friends, thats all :)
i hate these corny modular ambient youtubers so much, putting reverb on the same few mutable instruments modules alongside bad haikus and other delicate kitsch
and andrew huang with his weird-looking face
meanwhile absolute units like SYNTHMANIA get no recognition, belting out prime italo disco tracks out of nowhere

I'd say one of those shitty Alesis SR16s maybe, they sound awful.
im buying a euro rack just to make this kind of generative ambient music kek I have no musical talent, can't play any instruments and have money to blow. it's my calling. perfect for boring, untalented gentrifying yuppies in tech that want to seem interesting and creative. yes yes, thank you ill take a maths module please and subscribe to my youtube fren :)
Leo Cox
she's the blueprint for all the other ambient eurorack youtubers. it's cute when she does it though

Boss DR202, DR770, DR660 are good and cheap. The Boss DR880's a great midi drummer in its own right. The zoom shitboxxes are good too, the streetboxx sb 246 with beatkangz samples on it is my fave.
They can all be had for under 200 bucks but you're stuck to the on-board roms.
However, if you're composing 'fake video game music', get a groovebox, Roland MC303/505/307 or an RM1X, essentially drum machines and synths all in one so u can create full tracks with them.
>cute looks like a 7yo kid and shes 25, its unsettling.

>do you have one youll never sell? I sold my Jen SX1000, I still regret it every day, I'll never sell anything again.

Sorry, forgot to specify. My poorfag setup already consists of a sampler (SP404) and synthesizer (microkorg) so on second thought a drum machine/groovebox might be redundant.
