Has anyone tried to connect a guitar to a pc without an audio interface? I have an old korg ax 1500 multi effects with no usb port. Can I connect the headphones out of the korg to the line in pc port?

Connecting the guitar to the pc directly can damage it. If I connect the multi effects to the pc can it cause damage to the pc too?

I've plugged an amp out directly into line in on a pc with an adapter, it worked fine but you're better off spending $50 on a cheap interface
