So I talked to a tech from the shop I ordered this from, the red bundle is the battery connector, and the jack is a stereo barrel jack for active pickups, he said the ground is in the wrong spot and even if I swap the ground to the thick (broken) tab at the bottom and wire the battery to where the ground currently is its still fucked, should I just order a new jack or nig rig it?

good setup for a bedroom?

>its still fucked
nothing looks fucked, if you have the skill to take the messy solder off and re do it neatly.

looks like a lot, what wattage head?

why am i getting a hollow, metallic ringing every time i hammer open stings below the 7th-8th frets

Attached: 1587079702629.png (1384x1496, 742.56K)

can you record it?
what happens when you hammer the higher f

I already desoldered it, question is, what goes where? Tried resoldering the Red bundle to where the ground currently is and the black to the thick tab at the bottom, but it didnt work.

use the wiring diagram bro

i dont know but if its a stereo trs/jack id assume the two small ones go to one of the two tips and the large one would be the ground/earth.

but yea consult some diagram or look for pics.

Okay user, hopefully you catch this.
Here's what I did with it.

Key of E Major, 8 bars of Common time, 8th note triplet arpeggios. The arpreggios are voiced to avoid large movements.

1 bar of F#m7, 1 of B13, 2 of EMaj7(makes a softer landing than E Major alone)
Then 1 bar of F#m7, (1/2 bar of B13, 1/4 bar of B7b9, 1/4 bar of B7), then 1 bar of EMaj7, (1/2 bar of D, 1/2 bar of C#7)

The turn around in bar 8 is voiced so our D Major is our Neopolitan6 chord of our C#7 which we use as a V7/ii to return to the F#m7.

I love Gibsons and have never had a bad one, but I only buy used instruments from private parties.

If there's bad QC out it stays on guitar center's walls. And I don't care, because I will never look at buying a $2500 guitar if they're so overpriced that they instantly depreciate below $2000 the moment the first sales receipt is printed. Ditto for strats. $1500 new, $900 used. If they weren't all overpriced they wouldn't depreciate as fast as a used car despite seeing 1/1000th of the accumulated damage and sometimes staying completely mint and unplayed.

Yeah that was what I did based on the diagram I looked at but it didn't seem to work, I'll just order a new one with a non-fucked ground tab.

I miss this lil mega like you wouldn't believe.

250h, 400cab

I don't know how the pictures came out like that but the idea is it's a squier tele

Not enough.

No one gives a shit.

>buy used
>guitar is already set up perfectly and even has minor upgrades like tuners

>already has a scratch on it so you don't feel bad about fucking it up

these generals are gearfag containment. fix my shit

Are there any telecasters that don’t have a broad neck? All teles I’ve played and see online have a broad neck with radiuses ranging from 9.5” to 14”. I am basically looking for a tele with a strat neck.

hello. I love playing clean fingerstyle. I've had a shitty squier strat for almost 10 years. I wanna get a new guitar and I'm pretty set on a 50s vibe tele.
>sound great clean
>easy to get parts for if something fucks up
>looks gorgeous
can you reccomend me maybe something else to look into? I'm pretty set but outside input can't hurt
