Husker du is better. and i dont even like husker du that much.
It has better songwriting and soul than the rest of their discog besides Document. The more stripped and effectless approach makes it seem more indie which it basically helped to create.
Hüsker Dü are like Black Flag crossed with R.E.M.
Perfect Circle, Radio Free Europe, pilgrimmage, and Catapult are my picks btw.
>The more stripped and effectless approach
I'm surprised you say this about Murmur, to me Murmur sounds more like a studio record whereas Reckoning sounds more like a live one.
Mine are We Walk, Pilgrimage and Perfect Circle
It sounds better if you listen to it while driving through southern towns with kudzu growing everywhere
mike on that chris chan vibe
cause it's popular
I feel like that with all of R.E.M.'s records. It's pretty bland stuff. They have good songs but even those lack real emotional impact or affect.
Nightswimming
Perfect Circle
The Flowers of Guatemala
Camera
Find the River
Talk About the Passion is one of the greatest songs ever written- very emotionally potent and beautiful. Laughing, 9-9. Perfect Circle, and Pilgrimage are all almost as good as that one.
Honestly Murmur is one of my very few 10/10s.
R.E.M. is in the same tier of boring radio pop as U2 and Coldplay.
this
sounds like you got filtered
sounds like you're a pleb trying to defend shitty taste
rem is so underrated on Yas Forums
Automatic for the People is their best album. Deal with it, IRSfags.
Dont forget the one i love.
>lack real emotional impact or affect
Out of Time is a very emotional record, what the fuck?
U2 problem, they stayed together so long they became uncool to future generations. it's like if the smiths stayed together an extra 15 years
This band is too emotionally mature for the vast majority of people on this site
not even better than OOT or Hi-Fi
>too emotionally mature
as schmaltzy as I think AFTP is, I still think it's more genuine than any album it inspired.
