anything above Type 0 is pseud bullshit

"No input", "danger music", what the fuck is this pretentious shit lol

Type III

>t. type-Ø

Some of them aren't even genres, they're more like techniques to music or pretentious drivel like "Generative music" isn't a genre so horseshit

>No input
>taking the output and inputting it back into the mixer to creates a feedback loop that you then manipulate with the EQ knobs and faders
>danger music
>Danger music is an experimental form of avant-garde 20th and 21st century music. It is based on the concept that some pieces of music can or will harm either the listener or the performer, understanding that the piece in question may or may not be performed.

Type 1.5, because of Dark Ambient. Imagine all the pansies punishing their microcarrots over making it into Type 4 on a musical patrician scale because of their desensitisation to literally listening to distorted radio static. Christ have mercy.

>taking the output and inputting it back into the mixer to creates a feedback loop that you then manipulate with the EQ knobs and faders

So a music making technique that isn't a fucking genre like type 0

Not a diss to OP, btw.

Caring about "types" is fundamentally anti-patrician.

I wish Hampus would come back Yas Forums was so much more fun when he'd trigger newfags like

Saying you listen to noise music is almost the same thing as saying you can skull Smirnoff. It’s just a testament to one’s ability to withstand shit.

I suppose Type-V, since I occasionally listen to Stockhausen

autistic and ADHD people talk about how they can hear weird buzzing frequencies that other people can't hear so I wonder if drone/noise is pleasurable to them in a way I can't understand.

That’s a fair point, there could be a certain appeal to different extreme textures, at least towards people with autism or other such things who interpret noise in that way, but I mean, for having autism and listening to plain static noise to be lauded as showing impeccable taste in the complex musical arts is insane.

the chart is obviously a joke but it's good b8

Type III so far. I'll eventually get bored of zeuhl and musique concrete and further elevate my taste.

this is probably the greatest piece of OC to ever come out of this stinking shitpile of a board, always cracks me up

Based type-III patricians

What if I listen to several genres from each section? Am I transcendent?

No

I forgive you, child. Allow me to show you the path to enlightenment. Listen to Taku Sugimoto recordings.

Post one track from type IV or type V. Just one.

Type III

>music making technique
>isn't a fucking genre
>music making
>technique
Can't tell if bait or fucking retarded

no input is basically weird techno-ish noise and lowercase music made with feedback loops (connecting the input to the output of the mixer)
danger music isn't new, the latest and greatest example is Hanatarash (Naked City singer Yamatsuka Eye's noise band from the 90s and 80s that had actually dangerous performances, one of them had Eye driving through the venue wall with a bulldozer and getting banned from playing live in Japan)

Isn’t nakamura basically this?

What's the meaning behind this music, I need context to understand it.
