on avery island is the only one worth listening by nmh anyway
Tubular Bells
what about albums that are just one long ass song like long season, dope smoker, thick as a brick, tubular bells, ommadawn, ascension, crimson, metal machine music and that one new age flamenco album
Were only in it for the money by the mothers of invention
lift your fists something something
that one ambient album people here love
maybe
It's not pretentious at all lol
try william basinski, faggot
It absolutely ought to be pretentious but it somehow ends up being almost painfully sincere. It's definitely worth a listen, even if you don't end up liking it.
The Texas Jerusalem crossroads for sure, it's even about Jesus Christ
Pic related is full of bangers
Moon Shaped Pool
and it's one single boring song
Probbaly the best example of this
i prefer this one over ITAOTS. much more sound variation, more emotions, instrumentation and drumming is so much better as well.
and murder of the universe
(minus the cringe second part)
Nah, it's thick as a brick
Any 70s prog album would do, especially relayer, tales of topographic oceans
That is a single song though, so doesn't count
Mew - And the Glass Handed Kites
Every song transitions into one another seamlessly and it’s beautiful
honestly one of the more heartfelt albums I've heard which is a big part of it's quality. ironically it's usually the people shitting on things for being "pretentious" that are extremely pretentious.
Abbey Road :)
Just got back from the discomfort
Yes the vocals are "bad" but you get used to it
And then it clicks
The "story" is as coherent as a Lynch movie
Grow up
