I am looking for the greatest piece of music ever created. It needs to demonstrate mastery of both the soft and dreamlike, and the short and baroque, modes of music, and bring them to a synthesis. The music itself needs to feel like at one moment a tragedy, then at another cheerful, then at another angry, etc. representing every emotion, and also bring these emotions to a synthesis under one style.
I do not care about genre, whether it be metal, classical, rock, or electronic. I do not care about where it came from, whether it be western or eastern. Thank you.
While it certainly evolved (most modern songs have no sense of progression), the instrumentation was lacking in scope, and the singer was not good enough to warrant dominating the mix that much. I'm sorry, it was too repetitive. It also sounds silly how he reverberated the brass. The drums should not overwhelm the mix in the greatest song of all time, since they themselves are an instrument with little versatility.

There is no greatness to this song, so I feel this excludes it as a candidate for the best piece of all time.
It's gotta be the king. youtube.com/watch?v=aPAiH9XhTHc This song just casts a spell over anyone who listens to it. Play this song to anyone and they will go deathly silent without even realising it.
