Hipster trash.

>if you only knew how bad things really were back then

are bethany and nathan still together?

their best album

no they broke up

is this gusic?

Maybe, they have the most on and off relationship of all time

I miss the days of twee and indie pop before it got hijacked by narcissistic, useless and manipulative sluts who have to assure you that they are empaths every 5 seconds and their twinky simp orbiters who's music is just one dimensional, samey carcboard knockoffs of CSH and beat happening with lyrics that go 'so sad depressed sssaaaaad x(42)' with a monotonous voice.

And yes; I am referring to starry cat and all of this shit 'lo-fi s a d quirky bedroom pop' garbage that dominates bandcamp and the scene with zoomers.

They made other albums?

Basically, but it was perfect for a time and a place - the summer of 2010. Maybe there's a little play in summer of 2011, but beyond that, it's just this terrible piece of crap nobody would ever want to listen to.

I remember being at a moped rally and this girl asking what Best Coast was like, I joking sang "MY BOYFRIEND, WEED, CALIFORNNIAAAA" and making her and other people laugh. She said something like "is that really it?" and people agreeing. Good times.

>itll never be 2014 again
>youll never listen to beach fossils, craft spells, surfer blood, radio dept, quarterbacks while chatting on last.fm and arguing on Yas Forums again

>this feel
I still listen to Radio Dept and Beach Fossils all the time though

Man. I remember discovered Beat Happening around 2011-2012 and went down the krecs rabbithole. That shit blew me away and was the best, carefree escapism from my life being filled with tweaker dudebros, fundie mormons and cholo douches in my then shithole hometown - and remniscing about the adolescence I would have had if my mother didn't drag me out of portland. And basically loving old twee, shoegaze and 90's anime - such a tiny subculture then that i hoped to lurk and find IRL eventually and especially post-HS graduation - and Pokemon before normalfags copped all of that stuff 2016-on and when pokemon became 'cool' again.

seeing so many of my old favorite bands (including alot of then Yas Forumscore and midwest emo) get memeified and blowing up over the past few tears spoiled my appreciation and sentiment as of late. And This; combined with my family discarding me into homelessness, relapse into internet addiction, and the political/social/internet and cultural client made my mental health spiral and i've given up on my personal wellbeing for the most part.

What's this aesthetic called?

>You’ll never see Grimes performing Visions again in NYC IN 2012

It doesnt stop, make it stop Yas Forums

>NYC
LOL

...

It's garbage but if serious question the ur-text is Beat Happening, K Records, International Pop Underground etc. Best Coast isn't anywhere near as good as any of that though.

ur-text?

idk what the fuck he's talking about, its called Twee Pop

>2 weeks into new year.
>Suffering brutal stomach problems.
>Staying downstairs close to restroom.
>Laying on couch falling asleep
>Got a little Fm radio with headphones on playing local college radio station.
>This song comes on youtu.be/j6L09QA1lt0
It was a miserable time but goddamn was it better than what's goin on now.
Every time hear I this song I get such a bittersweet feeling.

I remember lurking the tumblr page of some girl from my high school I had a crush on around 2012 and seeing her gush about this album. Never listened to it though

My local college radio station played something from DIIV's 2012 album today and it ruined me. I was driving to the grocery store with a face mask on. Fuck this gay earth

Whatever it is, I miss it. Hasn't been around since 2014.

Arthoe and softboy chic are the closest/successors among zoomers. And it looks fucking hideous and most people who call themselves that or dress the part are the biggest assholes and fakes.

>tfw you are too young to have ever hung out with all the spergy twinks and quirky manic pixie dream girls of 80's-90's oly

Also wish that I at least lived there as a teen-very young adult. I finally returned to the northwest like a year ago and it's all either Californian yuppies or SJW tranny post-scene kid fandomfags

I live in a gentrified neighbourhood and still see this kind of shit in local vintage stores and bars. The late 2000s/early 2010s hipster never died here.
