Megafag here, if you go to a Megadeth show and expect good vocals then you're retarded
Name a more disappointing live vocalist
holy fuck that rasp, it sounds as if he just chainsmoked a pack and screamed for half an hour.
He's not that bad, especially when you consider the fact that he's like 50 years old and still trying to scream songs that he wrote when he was like 19
>studio trickery
I wouldn't call it that, I mean yeah it's multiple takes and editing and often filter and effects like autotune - but the last thing I would want from a studio album is something where the band just stumbles through their songs in one take and there's fuckups and mistakes all over the place and it was mixed using their elbows.
Live sessions rarely sound better than the studio version, or as good, but even when it's not as good or better you're there for the live experience.

Unless it's crust punk or black metal of course, in which case it's the first thing I expect.
Imagine stanning a band that you yourself admit can't perform their own songs
Imagine being a fucking retard. Oh wait, you don't have to
whatever your thoughts on his music or his voice, at least he sings in key on the albums. he's so fucking bad at singing live. I have to wonder just how many hundreds of takes it took to get the vocals down for innerspeaker.
>arguing you're not retarded for paying to see a band whose vocals are expected to be shitty
Also singing a long set with bad technique fucks you up, same goes for screaming. Add shitty warm-ups and damage over the years.
billy sucks on record as well
