What? That song is great.

I love it. The chords are great, great pop structure, hilarious stories and it's essentially the proto-type for lo-fi weird nigger rock. What a fucking solid album, top 10 for me.

Soijack posters are the kind of guys who will refuse to listen to a certain band or genre because they hate the fans. That's why they're under the impression that posting a soijack and quoting someone else's post is going to make the person who originally posted those words think "Hmm. I don't want to sound soi, so I'm going to change my opinion on things." It doesn't work that way. It's just one of the least effective attempts at online bullying I've ever seen.

It doesn't affect the music, but it is a big letdown when their first album's cover is so iconic. I don't know, I like good album covers though. It makes me feel like the band put thought into the album's aesthetic.

Masterpiece. This is when John Cale reached his best as a revolutionary musical experimenter. This album gave us noise and definitely helped model what punk rock would be.

And that's what most of 70's music was. Even if you don't like what that musical revolution represented and are a Beatles fanboy, you have to at least give the velvets and this album credit as the ones that inspired pretty much everything that came after them.
