What were you expecting?

Psure I warned you

So was your mom last night

You do you user. I think that's the first time I've seen Laughing Stock or Spirit of Eden criticized on here.

go fix your adhd, user.

this is like the final boss of music if it doesn't click right away for you. Listen to red house painters and other slowcore and work your way up to laughing stock

Music for sycophants

>final boss of music
ok there bud

based
now listen to the greatest album of all time
yea but realizing that SoE is even better is the true ending

Attached: folder.jpg (1012x1000, 418.68K)

how does it feel to have a tiny brain?

the true ending is realizing that mark hollis' mark hollis (1998) is the best album out of the three and is the logical conclusion of his development as an artist

Listen to it again tomorrow, and then again the day after. You're welcome

SoE is more immediate but it's most certainly not better. Everyone I've recced this to has ended up loving it, which is funny since it was panned on release.

Welcome to post-rock, OP. It's an eventless genre for virgin pseuds

>eventless
>hasn't listened to post-rock

that pic makes me horny
Yas Forums has ruined me

>but it's most certainly not better
Source?

laughing stock has the better songs. after the flood alone alone makes it the better album (and then, to boot, it has new grass), but it's a matter of the one being a 9/10 and the other an actual 10/10

>eventless
imagine being this much of a tourist

t. pseuds that enjoy eating literal shit

that guy that replied to you isn't me, but I agree with his opinion completely

>the logical conclusion of his development as an artist
I can agree with that, although it was developing into a different sound rather than a strictly better one. all of them, TCoS included, are absolutely fantastic and I can understand and respect any of them being someone's favorite
>SoE is more immediate but it's most certainly not better.
no matter how many times I listen to them SoE seems to always remain my favorite although the order of the other three fluctuates
but maybe that's just me :)
>Everyone I've recced this to has ended up loving it
SoE is also pretty universally loved, in fact stock seems to always be the one that gets shit on by the occasional pleb or baiter like OP, never SoE
fuck you
post-rock volcel gang rise up
the rainbow/eden/desire is the best song of all time and that's already half the album
the second side pales in comparison, but only in comparison as those songs are still at least neck and neck with the ones on stock and s/t (in my opinion :))

New Grass is one of the best songs I've ever heard

SoE is not as good as LS. I think production for me is a big aspect of it, I do not think the production of SoE fits the music, everything just sounds so much better on LS, it feels more realized.

I still really like SoE, Eden is an incredible song, so is Wealth.

Great taste, user. Same.
I wish there were more albums like this.

are you listening to them on spotify? I think the 1997 remasters on there sound significantly worse than original cd masters, and also the hdtracks version in case of SoE
I suppose stock does stand apart from the others with its jazzier sound too and maybe you just prefer that? can't say I have any technical complaints about them myself, although I'm not an expert on that stuff

>the rainbow/eden/desire is the best song of all time and that's already half the album
>the second side pales in comparison, but only in comparison as those songs are still at least neck and neck with the ones on stock and s/t (in my opinion :))

100% correct. rainbow/eden/desire is the best song/run of songs of all time, and desu im not sure its even that close.

The dynamics on those songs alone makes SoE better.

I'm not listening on spotify, but I did actually have the 1997 remaster for the longest time, eventually I got the original one and it's much better for sure.
I may have made it sound worse than it really is, I don't think SoE is a bad sounding album by any means, I just think the production techniques, recording and everything about LS fits that sound so much better.

>post-rock volcel gang rise up
"volcel" has to be the biggest cope ever
