DSOTM is great but I think it has really cliche themes that have been investigated by so many artists before and after the release, not to mention all of the tracks sound very similar, which isn't excused by the fact that it's a "concept album." A great album, but I think it's only so popular because it is a bit more simple and toned back from PF's other more experimental and elaborate pieces.

DSOTM and The Wall but especially The Wall, which is without a doubt the greatest concept album ever done, even if its debatable that its not the best prog rock.
