pic not related?
my slint-core chart (focused on the Spiderland sound)
I also recently made one for Unwound.
Let me know what you think.
>tortoise
This album is fucking KINO and the lyrics are incredible
>patrician
It's literally all in 4/4...
this album is a joke in the patrician scene
You start
have you heard that first album, or are you judging on the stuff they did later? It sounds pretty different.
The For Carnation is essentially half of Tortoise playing with Brian McMahan and his brother.
Does this count as post-hardcore?
Also
I hate that post-hardcore can either mean late 80s D.C. style or metalcore shit.
The metalcore stuff is awful and it should have a different name.
The only patrician post-hardcore band is Unwound.
Cringe.
All great albums, from what I've heard. Pic related would be a good addition too
very good picks, my man
McCarthy by Helms
My fave
Most of the ones you haven't heard are probably just okay.
I'll have to listen to that Frodus album again. It does sound pretty different from everything they did before.
Hmm. I have never heard of this band.
this is essential
>This album
>Being Post-Hardcore in any way
Great taste ITT so far
this
it is (1.5) x (post) x (a genre which is in itself post) / (0.5) x (Albini)
>slint-core
>no tweez
>hmmm what's really slint-core?
>oh yeah, SLINT!
sounds like 2 different bands to me. go listen to Shellac and Don Cab.
